Courtyard Hooligans

Mandatory destination for soccer fans. Cool old school bar in a really cool brick alley. Upstairs and downstairs are both small but not claustrophobic. Scarves on the walls and a match on tv, classic soccer bar stuff. Bartender was a good guy, great soccer conversation and some helpful local insight on other watering holes. Glad that we stopped by Courtyard Hooligans, if you are a soccer fan you will enjoy it too !

Hooligans was a great soccer spot, I stopped in while visiting Charlotte for business and took in Copa America 2021. Loved that they had the game commentary on, tons of locals out supporting their countrymen adding to the good vibes at the bar. Even if you're not mad into soccer, great staff to serve up a drink.

The only place to go if you want to watch soccer. They show all the games no matter what time. When there is a big game you better get there early because it fills up downstairs, upstairs, and outside. The bartenders are always good and quick. Location is cool too because the Brevard Court area makes you feel like you're not in the heart of uptown. They don't serve food but you can get food from any one of the restaurants in the alleyway right there. Been watching games here for 10 years and it's always a good time.
