Basso56

We have been to Basso56 several times. The food is consistently wonderful, from the grilled shrimp with white tuscan beans to the excellently prepared pastas. The staff goes out of their way to make customers feel welcome and the owner is often out and about making sure everything is going well, which it seems it always is. Add to all of that, the atmosphere and design of Basso56 enhances the feeling that having a great dining experience matters down to every last detail.

I would have to type a really long review to share my experience here. I will say this. Alex is amazing. From the day I met him, he treated me like family. The food is better than anywhere I have eaten. The staff is courteous and friendly. If you do not dine here at least once, you are missing out. Thank you Basso56 for making our anniversaries, gatherings and just out for dinner dates amazing. We will continue to dine here until we cannot anymore.

Alex and the family, for years have been achieving great success in the restaurant industry. So happy to witness their transition from Midtown Manhattan to Chappaqua in the best way possible. The ambiance of the restaurant is simply stunning - from the tasteful decor to the soft lighting, everything is designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The menu is equally impressive, with an array of dishes that showcase the creativity and talent of the chef-Paolo Catini. We had the pleasure of trying several dishes during our visit, and each one was a true masterpiece. The flavors and textures of each dish were perfectly balanced, and I found myself savoring every bite. The attention to detail at Basso56 is truly remarkable. Even the drinks were thoughtfully crafted, with unique and creative concoctions that perfectly complemented the food. And let's not forget about the desserts - they were absolutely heavenly! But what really sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional service. Alex, Aldo and the staff were very attentive, knowledgeable, and truly cared about making sure you have a memorable experience. In short, Basso56 remains a true gem, just in a different location. It's the kind of place you'll want to come back to time and time again, whether it's for a special occasion or just a night out with friends. I can't recommend it enough - it's truly an amazing restaurant that's worth every penny.

The smells from the kitchen were exactly like my home on Sunday while my mother prepared Sunday dinner. The food too tasted just like my mother's. The white bread exactly like my mother's homemade bread which she made daily. Do not miss this place. My parents are from Abruzzo region in Italy and I felt like I was there. LOVE IT!! WILL NEVER SKIP this place each time we come to NYC.
