Flip Side

Didn’t have my usual burger on the menu and spent way too long there. Was there for over an hour and only spent 10 minutes actually eating. My BF and I were seated in the corner and felt completely forgotten about. It wasn’t that busy and I asked two different servers for a to go box. After I asked the first one, I watched her talk with a table for almost 10 minutes so I asked another server and she walked away and started talking to a table for a good 5 minutes. These were tables that had already ordered so I don’t think they had questions about the menu. I waited another 5 minutes then left without my food. I wasn’t that hungry and only had 3 bites of my burger, but my BF was starving so we stopped in for him. Very disappointed I wasted $20 for 3 bites of a burger and a handful of sweet potato fries and 60+ minutes of my time. Also its been extremely loud in there every time I’ve gone. The floor was covered in food, straws, and little pieces of paper it looked like I was at the county fair.

This was the worst burger place I have ever been to. The “waiter” dropped the drinks off and then he went missing for an hour. The hostess noticed we were still sitting around with menus and then called the other waitress over for us. Once we ordered, we waited another 20 minutes to be told what I ordered wasn’t available. The burgers didn’t come out with any condiments, and my grandmother found an onion in her milkshake. At least some of the food was warm, but this place was a total disappointment.

Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Flipside has the most delicious grass fed burger ever! I got the One Red Door and it was cooked to perfection. The combination of the Brie cheese, crispy shallots and a bacon date aioli literally melted in my mouth. The onion rings were quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. They serve them with a remalaude sauce that I couldn’t get enough of. The server was awesome, knowledgeable and said that all of the sauces are made in house. So delicious! We will definitely be back!!

Don’t miss this cool, welcoming, burger pub! Great food, cold tasty beer, friendly service and a clean store. The store has two levels, several tables and a single restroom in the front, at street level and a bar and more tables a few steps higher, in the back. I enjoyed sitting by the front windows, watching the bustle of quaint downtown Chagrin Falls! Our burgers were absolutely delicious. I loved that Flip Side gave me more control of the flavor by serving my burger with the sauces on the side. Also, the burger is served majestically alone, on its own plate. Delicious fries and rings are available but the burger doesn’t need to be buried by them to make a meal.
