Waffle Shop

Other than our waitress being pretty much non-existent the food was fabulous. they use real sausage gravy on their biscuits and plenty of food in fact I left so much on my plate that it looked like it was another entire meal! Love the waffle shop I'm going to have to try their waffles one day. You won't leave hungry!!

Truck stop slop and gourmet prices! A review can't describe how discussed I am. My food (eggs) was not cooked properly -- what short order cook doesn't know what a basted egg is or how to cook it (the whites were still runny)? Because I'd cut ito the egg and waffle and both would now need to be replaced, my request for a new egg was denied. There was one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant -- really? Labor isn't that expensive! I guess their customers don't want refills on coffee. The music in the restaurant was exceptionally loud. When I asked them to address this, I was ignored. The bacon served was overcooked and tasted like WWII surplus meat. Bottom line: the quality of the food didn't, at all, match the price paid.

Decided on the Waffle Shop in Ceres as opposed to the one on Coffee Rd, BIG MISTAKE. We were not acknowledged when we walked in and the "hostess" just walked us straight to a booth without a greeting. Yes, a BOOTH, and how am I supposed to fit my baby's carseat in a booth? I told them if we could move to a bigger table, which they did, took them 20+ mins to take our order, and the folks next to us had been there way before us and they didn't take their order either. The waitresses were extremely rude, all except the older woman. It seemed like she was waiting all the tables for the other waitresses. Our food was cold, and they didn't even give us the check until ai was standing waiting at the register for almost 5 mins. The woman at the register was telling her coworker in spanish that I didn't leave a tip. Tell me why you deserve one? AWFUL AWFUL SERVICE.. This shop could learn a thing or two from the one on Coffee and Floyd. I wish the service was just as good as the food.

Let me take you down my experience. Walked in and got seated, immediately asked for our drinks.. Here is where the bad started. 5-10mins passed and still no drinks. In fact 2 more employees asked us for drinks. Still nothing. Finally they bring us our drinks but got one drink wrong. We order and food was great but my biscuits&gravy were cold. So i waited 10 more mins before anyone even noticed me so i could ask if they can reheat it. Finally someone comes. When we were done the lady puts our tab down and walks away as my mother in law was trying to ask for a box. Seriously BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I advise you all to not waste your time here. If you love waffle shop food, its worth the drive to the modesto one.
