Excellent breakfast. We were visiting and wanted something local. This diner checked all the boxes. Friendly staff, great service and delicious food. I couldn't decide whether to have a sweet or savory breakfast so I got both. Cinnamon Roll French Toast was wonderful and the salmon cake eggs benedict was very flavorful. Highly recommend if you in Cedar Rapids.

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences of my life. The staff were amazingly friendly and you could tell they actually enjoy talking to their customers and regulars. The food was God tier. The Philly Steak Omelet was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. All ingredients tasted fresh and amazing, and all for only 13 bucks. To top it all off the atmosphere was incredible!!! From all the signs and memorabilia to random things like a 20 dollar bill on the wall made the place feel so special, and the stories that accompany them are amazing. I ate at the counter where there were 2 batman symbols blackened on the counter. I was told a father and son were eating and the dad took one of his sons toys and threw it on the grill and then pressed it on the counter to make the mark. Those little stories and items around the store mixed with amazing service and Food make Riley's one of the best dining options in Iowa, hands down. They've made a new regular out of me!

The best diner for breakfast in Cedar Rapids. Multiple locations, but I like First Avenue best. Florentine Eggs Benedict: freshsauteed spinach, fresh slices of tomato, perfectly poached eggs, a delicate hollandaise. Order with the home fries. $9.62 with tax.
There's a large table for groups (often shared by smaller parties) and about a dozen booths. Park on the street or in the small rear lot.

Best breakfast in town- have been going since 2009. Recently is under new ownership and just keeps getting better! The 1st Ave location is the original location with a genuine, "homey" environment. Staff always goes above and beyond and cooks never fail to deliver a perfect breakfast/lunch! They have also been very accommodating to COVID preventative measures/ sanitation. A huge bonus is that they now offer delivery on weekends, how neat! 10/10 recommend.

Riley's has a new name, but same people and same menu that they cannot get right! We order carry out regularly, and eat in occasionally.. I can honestly say, they do not put near the effort into their to go orders as they do for the dine in customers. Wrong cheese, missing food, and hash browns that barely touched the grill! I literally had to finish cooking them! The name says it people. Hash BROWNs! So how long before the name changes again?
