Hy Vee

Visited this grocery store while we were staying in town at a local hotel and was blown away by this place. The first thing we noticed was the sections set aside to prepare various foods for you from create your own pizza to have cooked there for you or to take home, made to order subs, cooked onsite chines food that was absolutely amazing and probably some of the best Chinese food we have had. Fried rice was excellent as was the lo neon noodles, sweet n sour chicken, cashew chili ken and other Chinese food favorites were available. Adjoining this area was a cooked to order hibachi grill. Pick your meats and veggies and whatever and watch it cooked right there for you to take home. The backers looked very nice with fresh rolls we got, lunch meats were nice and reasonably priced and the butcher shop was amazing. What impressed us was the old school meat packages you could purchase with a mixed variety of beef, pork, chicken and other sides in pre priced choice packages. The signs hung over the butcher shop and you can just say I’ll take the $100 package and you see what is listed on the banner of what you’ll get. The rest of the store was nice, it was clean, the staff was friendly and check out was easy. I’d highly recommend this place for locals to check out if you haven’t already!

The only rap on HyVee is the price - highest in town....look for specials...it's nice in the sense of it's one stop shopping - bakery, floral, pharmacy, liquor, restaurant, clinic, post office...about the only thing they don't have is a hotel...and they have the biggest assortment of items any where, like 100 types of cheeses...

Steve the "Cheese Guy" takes such good care of me every time I drop by to pick up my charcuterie needs 😁 Today, he gave me an impromptu tasting including an array of soft cheeses, pepper jelly, and crackers! Ladies night will be more fabulous than ever. I highly encourage you to stop by the next time you are preparing for a gathering or special occasion, makes life easy!

For a great shopping experience grab a cup of Joe while pushing your cart or a boutique of flowers might do the trick,then send the family on grocery duty while you have a cool draft and watch the sports in play in the bar /restaurant area,has a one stop shop for mailing packages sending money or cashing checks,the best place in town for wine and spirits,not to mention viridian location is right inside.so have at it.
