Ok first things first I am not a huge fan of hot pot restaurants. That being said this place was pretty dam good. Staff were friendly and attentative. Food was a little pricey but the meat was of a much higher quality then most hot pot places. Atmosphere is pretty good has a fairly chilled thing going on. The plates even have a time written on them to indicate how long each peice should be cooked for. There are lots of paintings of cows on the wall just in case you want to stare at what you are eating. Anyway I would recommend this place as a great hot pot place.

For the price, it is really pricy, the fresh beef meat is insane. The beef can be approximately $1 per slice or even more, each dish has 10 to 12 slices. The dip dishes charge $3 per dish. My friends have been here and cost $60 per person. This time, we have 3 persons and just order 2 cheap beef meat and 3 type of vegetables for hot pot, one cold dish and one main. It cost us $109. If you wanna have a feast in there, get your wallet prepared. :) For the food quality, the beef is undeniably fresh, the sauce is good as well, the sauce is the key for the hot pot. They want to create a teochew style hot pot and the beef is really close to the teochew taste but not the same due to the breed of the cattle. However, the main is not so good, the quantity and quality is not satisfied. For the service, the waiters are really nice and welcoming, but the manager is not very well. When we order the foods, he just said loudly that two dishes is not really insufficient and recommended us the most expensive one to order, but we refused it. During the dinner, we always heard him to command his workmates impolitely. The table next to us had 7:30 booking. When they want to order some food, the manager just said all meat are running out, you guys should come earlier, like 5:30 or something. Lastly, the waiters and the beef is not bad, but the price is higher than other restaurants in Carnegie, hope they could be better.

Went there to check out the lunch special, pricing was attractive. Tasted quite ok, especially the Taiwan braised beef. The HK braised beef was just ok. Had a look at the menu and it’s quite interesting though pricy. You have to pay extra for the soup too. Maybe I will go try the hot pot on a cold winter night.

If only I can give a zero score here! YMMV but this is beyond the joke! What u see in the photos is $78!! actually the 2 x sauces at $6 each and 1 bowl of steam rice aren’t shown. We left still hungry and had maccas on way home. Portions here are ridiculous! The 8 beef balls the size of gumballs $10.80! The tripe maybe 12 strands $8.80! Menu is not extensive for hot pot. Pork bone Soup base was just water and something else. Absolutely no flavour. The spicy soup was hmmmmm meh!!! Beware... there is no single small pot! Despite it appearing in menu as an option! U r forced to order the bigger one at $20.80 if u want hot pot. WIR???? Is that even a question?!?!?

The biggest waste of $85 ever. Me and my partner walked in at 8.30 - long before closing - opted for the buffet and by 9pm half the dishes were unavailable because the chef had gone home an hour before closing. The restaurant was nice in appearance but there was tension the whole time as we were the only diners there and the staff were packing down the restaurant (wiping down tables, packing up chairs etc.) which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal as the whole time we felt rushed and as if the staff were waiting for us to leave. Only positive is that the food wasn't too bad. The spicy broth had a good kick and the noodles were great cooked in the broth. The fried rice noodles were great when the chef was still on the clock and we could order them. Would have been better off if the staff had just said they wanted to close early and couldn't serve us that night.

Average food and overpriced. I accidentally ordered two soup base thought they come in individual size, turned out it's just one big pot and was told couldn't cancel because it was in preparation. They ended up mixing it but obviously had to charge us double the price. The cold beef dish and fried beef is quite nice though. But not worth returning.

2 star for the staff. 0 star for food. We ordered a beef with black on the bottom side. The staff told us is because the meat approach to the air so it turns dark and also being squeeze. Yes i understand sometimes it happens. But since this restaurant is using "beef" as their signature and even the name of the restaurant, they should make sure they served the freshest meat. Not pre cut and keep in the fridge. Is not fresh anymore in that way. I can just go to asian store and grab the pre-cut meat from there and make a steamboat at home instead. No point coming back with 88 bucks for 2 pax and this quality.
