Bistro 101

I'm from out of town visiting family and this was a special night for my family. We wanted to change tables and not be in a walkway. They changed our table but not before being very rude and acting mad at us. The hostess with light red hair was horrible to me. She was a poor example for that wonderful restaurant that I have been to so many times when we visit. My steak dinner was my high point. Our tab was substantial to have to go through such poor treatment from the hostess . Our server was very kind and attentive she had very long hair.

We started off with Blue Hawaiian and an AppleTini then moved to Chevre Stuffed mushrooms for our appetizer, which was so good it was gone in seconds! Followed by our fresh garden salad and dill pickle soup. Yes thats right, dill pickle soup. Im so glad i tried the soup, I would have never thought of making a dill pickle soup! It was absolutely delicious! Our mouths were delighted and the anticipation of our main course grew. I had the cranberry Mushroom Trottole -trottole pasta tossed with sauteed mushrooms, thyme roasted chicken in a cranberry-sage cream sauce. The sweetness of the cranberries with the cream sauce and chicken was so good we literally could not stop eating this! Chris had the grilled fillet mignon with smashed potatoes and fresh veggies drizzled in garlic butter. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. We ended with the bread pudding for dessert, and it was oh so good. We made the right choice and We are so glad we chose the Bistro 101 for dinner tonight!
