514 Poutine

OMG so good! We had the Large (So Big!) Meat Lovers, and a Small (Still so big!) Deluxe. It was sooooo good, all the 1 STAR reviews on this place are totally BS, always look at how many reviews and contributions a person gives before you take their review into consideration on a business! Loved the food, lived the service, and the wait time wasn't that bad for the work and love that went into the order. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH GUYS!!!

Really good Quebec food. Spending my formative preteen years just outside of Montreal I have a different perspective of 514 Poutine than most. This place was my childhood. As soon as I walked in I was transported back to Hudson and wanted a steamie right away. I was not disappointed. The food was amazing and the quantity was insane. Unfortunately they are closing down, good news is they are coming to Calgary as a truck under the same name. I can't wait for that day. If you find them, try them, and you will love them.

Great poutine at a reasonable price. We had the steak hache and the chicken/peas. Nice crispy fries and the gravy was more than just a salty sauce.. the steak poutine gravy has a meaty flavor to it which was a nice touch. The meats themselves were nicely seasoned. A small is enough for one person! Will be back to try more of their poutines next time and their burgers!

514 Poutine was recommended to us because we were driving from Calgary to Banff/Lake Louise and I love poutine and Montreal smoke meat. They use fresh potatoes and cheese curds. I like that the gravy and smoked meat are not salty. I like foods that are low sodium. Large order can feed two adults for lunch. Free Wi-Fi is available, password is mrpotatohead. Three picnic tables outside for customers. Located in an industrial part of Canmore, yet it was still very busy when they opened. We originally wanted to go there on a Wednesday but it was closed. They’ve had staffing shortages due to the pandemic which has affected business hours. We ended up visiting on our way back to Calgary. They’ve updated their Google Maps Business Hours but be aware times may change. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Found this place while in the neighborhood and not wanting to go further into town (thanks for setting up shop here!), and so pleasantly surprised. Friendly atmosphere and FANTASTIC food. My travels prevented me from getting to it very quickly but even just warm, and later reheated the fries were SO GOOD they clearly care about everything right down to the potato. I’ll be back next visit to town!
