Pine Brook Inn

My daughter and I went to eat dinner at Pine Brook in-between Princeton and Cambridge on highways 95 and 47 on a weeknight. They were pretty busy and food arrived quite quickly. Ample parking spaces, ramp for handicapped, entryway is a little small for the amount of people coming in and going out. Nice "woodsy" decor, clean, plenty of booths, tables etc ... The prices are moderate, average serving sizes, my daughter had the steak which was tasty, I had the pan fried walleye which I was very disappointed with...1 fillet for $22.00! It had way too much butter on it and the breading, if there was one, was not good...I couldn't eat more than a bite... Hopefully they'll change that up, a beer bettered deep fried walleye and 3 fillets would be much more acceptable at $22.00. I also had the broccoli with the teriyaki sauce but it was served on the same plate as my walleye and the sauce ran so I had walleye with teriyaki...not good at all, that should be served in a separate dish. The waiter did offer me another selection but my appetite was ruined after that, a credit on our bill would have been more appropriate. I'm not sure I'll be returning any time soon...

Every time I drive by this place looks busy so finally tried it. Was impressed with the large menu and lots of fun, seasonal drinks. Had the black and bleu burger with waffle fries and French onion dip. All solid. Also ordered the pepperjack cheese curds, they were ok. Would probably try something different next time. Quick, attentive staff. Will go back.
