Espresso Cafe

Looks like it used to be nice. Got charged for an item I didn't receive and asked for a refund, and they paid a partial refund out of their tip jar. Not sure if the usual staff didn't show up today or if everyone was new. Drinks served in to go cups even if sit in. Good music, centrally located in Kensington. Prices are higher than neighbouring coffee shops, though with the size of the location lots of room to spread out if you are studying.

Do not! go there under ANY circumstances. I used to go to Espresso Cafe from the openning, and it was my go to place since. There were music nights, live concerts and buffe Sundays. They scratched that I think due to covid and I still supported them every Sunday to help their business, but I couldnt keep up anymore. They maintained desserts in their fridge that existed for months! and hard as a brick... they have fired all their chefs and hired a new one who thinks frozen mccaine potatoes is such a good idea for the brunch. No woffles or pancakes exists in the menu anymore... Iwouldnt go for croissants either. Overall, nothing good is left in that establishment. They must have been thinking "a penny saved is a penny earned"... naaa its not working for me unfortunately! im gonna take my hard earned dollars some where else and i regret all my previous support for the cafe.

I used to love stopping in here for an upper-class cafe experience. I don’t know what’s happened, I go in now and the place has empty dirty tables everywhere and the floors were covered in food which I almost slipped on. The bathrooms weren’t stocked with soap, the toilet sprayed at me from a leak when I tried to flush it. It was a really bad experience. After eating there my stomach has also been upset. Although my latte was good tasting? So 2 stars
