Meat & Bread

First off, I love the name of this place! Meat & Bread. No BS just direct and straight to the point. The sandwiches here are fantastic!! The corn beef sandwich was definitely amazing and for anybody who wants a simple and yet delicious sandwich this is the place to be. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Amazing food found in downtown Calgary! Highly recommended!!

I’ve been to Meat & Bread three times for lunch in the past couple months and every time it’s really good. I’ve had the buffalo chicken sandwich every time and despite my desire to try something else that buffalo sauce keeps calling me back. It really is a perfect combination of sweet & spicy and it compliments the very fresh tasting chicken quite well. These things are only as good as the bread which has been perfectly fresh and soft with just the right chewiness. The staff are very kind and as I was leaving they thanked me kindly for coming. It is about $15 after the tip for a relatively small sandwich but for the quality of the ingredients I would say it is a reasonable price. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

Always delicious. My best friend and I usually split one of our regular go to's and one of the rotating specials. Went for the steak special. Very tasty creation with potato matchsticks piled on top for some nice texture. Porchetta is a must and a staple. Meatball is my second go to. If you like a really great, super satisfying, no fuss but gourmet sandwich, give meat and bread a try.
