Cafe Strada

Wanted to give 0 star. Came in, no directions at all, wait staff are unwelcoming, stood there for 4+ min with staff looking at us and going about their business,Wait staff then told us to sit where ever. Didn’t bring menu, water to us or told us we need to got to the counter etc. finally after waiting 15 min and cafe staff going about their day, my partner went to the counter and ordered food and asked for tap water. They advertise bacon and egg roll on the black clipboard, when we tried to order they said they dont make it. We sat at our table for exactly 45 minutes. No water, no drink nor any food was served.Finally one guy served our drink- then another 10 min wait for our food and tap water. They brought food but no cutlery. Paid $23 for saltless scrambled egg and weird, thin bread and handful of smoked salmon. Had to go ask for one. Worst customer service, mediocre food, worst tasting cappuccino- burnt coffee taste. Wouldn’t even recommend to my worst enemy

During our holiday in Cairns my partner and I visited here for lunch, not only was the service impeccable the food was heavenly, as was the Berry iced tea. Because it was so good during our first visit we brought our daughter and my partners mum for lunch the next day. Again the service was impeccable the food was 5*, beautifully prepared, and amazing to taste. Further more they went above and beyond for my 21 month old toddler, she got extra special treatment and they made sure she had everything she needed so we could eat calmly. This is a place we will be visiting on our next trip to Cairns. Cannot recommend this place enough, I would give more than 5* if I could!!!!!

So. Good. Perfectly done crepes with generous amounts of quality toppings that made for a fantastic meal to start our final day in Cairns. The coffees here are good too, and the outdoor area out the back is perfect in the morning, with plenty of shade and a nice and relaxed setting 11/10 recommend if you're after a slow start to the day and want a quality meal
