Without doubt one of the best meals I've ever had in my hometown! Great atmosphere, lovely, friendly staff, a great atmosphere. The food was incredible, and well presented, you can tell that everyone involved actually CARES about what they do, and it really shows. We'll be back asap. If you're wondering whether to give them a go, just go! You'll thank me later... incredible ..

What a hidden gem! My mum and I stumbled across this place during an overnight stay last weekend. We'd tried to reserve a table at a couple of other top rated restaurants (as on TripAdvisor) but they couldn't seat us, but South 16 (our third attempt) had space, last minute on a Saturday night. The staff were all lovely, friendly and attentive. There is a well stocked bar and the dining area is clean, comfortable and relaxed. Now the food.... Wow! I'm a big foodie and appreciate great tasting food... These tapas are on another level. We ordered 5 dishes between 2 of us and it was about right. Top marks to the chef! We shall definitely return next time we're in Buxton.

I love this place. The food, the ambience, the fact its dog friendly. Its just a shame we don't live in Buxton. I heard the staff refer to their food as fusion tapas, which make's sense. It's a bit Tapas, a bit South American / Mexican but it's a lot amazing. The place is really different with the window paintings and even the artwork in the menu / drinks list. It's really dog friendly and the staff are amazing. If I've got one niggle it's that there isn't a huge beer selection. There are some drafts and they've had a Howard Town beer from Glossop on whenever we've been there but I'd prefer a bit more choice. That's personal preference though so I haven't marked it down. If they did sort that out I might have to sell my house and move to Buxton!
