Went during off peak season, had a reservation and they took us early (not busy). The staff were very nice and knowledgeable of their menu. We landed on Wednesday which happened to be half price bottles of wine. The apps were a risotto cheese ball (like a round cheese stick) and the cheese pull was great! The other one was fried tuna bites and they were awesome, very meaty and fresh and breading was excellent. My main course meal photos never saved to my phone (very disappointed).... We had catch of the day - baked Sheepshead fish and a grilled sea scallop pasta. Everything was great.

While staying at the Inn we had breakfast all three mornings of our stay. Absolutely delicious! There was no need for us to go anywhere else, you won’t find any where better. The views from inside as well as the deck are breathtaking! We tried different things from the menu each day and I can’t pick a favorite because everything I had was my favorite.
Each morning they had a different specialty pancakes, my husband tried a different one each morning. Apple pie, white chocolate raspberry and cinnamon bun flavored, oh my goodness they all melt in your mouth!
I had the specialty omelet that was packed with crab meat and goat cheese… heaven!
The staff is so friendly yet also formal, making it a high end experience.
On our last night we had dinner. My brother and his girlfriend, who are locals joined us. It was fabulous! Our waiter was so professional and on top of everything. We had two starters and salads, delicious! Then our meals came out and let me tell you, best meal I have ever had. We ate like kings and queens! The details in the design of the outdoor deck is impressive and the lighting creates such a romantic ambiance. The attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed.
If you are on the island and don’t eat here… you have no idea what you are missing!

Ate at a few places while on vacation in the Outer Banks and Cafe Pamlico was the best! Both the food and drinks were excellent, service was good, and the atmosphere was great! I highly recommend their Filet Neptune entrée. The meat and sides were incredible and full of flavor! The Brussel sprouts and Bang Bang clam strips appetizers were excellent as well. If you are looking for a romantic dinner spot in Buxton, you can't do better than Cafe Pamlico!

We were sat waterfront for our Anniversary dinner; wait staff acknowledged our special occasion many times. Service was attentive and helpful. Tuna Tataki appetizer; scallops, yellow grouper were all delicious. Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was very tasty! This was a great choice in Southern OBX for a special occasion meal .

Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere, love that it overlooks the bay. They have their own garden that they grow fresh veggies and fruit! Vegan friendly menu, waitress was kind and attentive. We had a great casual fine dining experience. I do wish their fresh bread was vegan & hope to see them innovate and experiment with new vegan dishes on their menu in the future as we will definitely be coming back next year!

My husband and I were married at the Inn 10 years ago so it has a special place in our hearts. We recently returned for our 10th wedding anniversary. While there we had 2 breakfasts (included with your room) and a dinner at Cafe Pamlico. The service was top-notch. Shout-out to Aylah, Justin, Willow and Sailor.
The breakfast menu was fresh and exciting - lots of different options. I enjoyed a tangy lox bagel (salmon cured on-site) with fried capers one morning and a crab omelette with sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese and spinach the next. I wish the omelette had been a tad bigger, but Justin graciously brought me an additional side dish; I couldn't resist ordering a fried egg topped with their homemade hollandaise. They also have an extensive list of breakfast beverages and cocktails. It was enjoyable but I probably wouldn't return for breakfast unless staying at the inn.
The evening of our dinner, Sailor made the generous accommodation of giving us an indoor table contrary to her original plan. We had dressed up and frankly wore too heavy of clothes. Willow presented the nightly specials with ease and clarity. Having worked in fine dining I know how challenging this can be for a server. I enjoyed a blood orange Moscow Mule off the mocktail menu and my husband ordered a local craft beer. They also brought out a basket of ciabatta with a lovely balsamic - tasted like a reserve. This was actually my favorite part of the meal. We started with the cafe lobster and spinach dip appetizer. I would have liked a bit more flavor as well as a bit more lobster. For an entree I simply had to have the kale caesar - boasting heirloom tomatoes, garlic and bacon - topped with a crab cake. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with the salad. I enjoy a *bite!* from my Caesar salads with lots of anchovy and garlic, neither of which I was able to detect. There was also very little bacon on the salad. The crab cake was delicious but on the smaller side; I would have ordered more food had I known. I will say that the quality of the food itself is top-notch, and they even grow some of their produce and herbs on-site. Their seafood especially is of excellent quality, which brings me to my husband's entree. He ordered seared tuna - Market Price $40 - which was accompanied by (coconut?) rice with a mango pico of sorts. He was tickled with his choice.
This is a nice venue and great for a special evening.

We came to have a romantic date night and try their vegan menu. The level of service here is a dying art, these are truly professionals. The only reservation spot available was 830 (when they close at 9) but we never felt rushed. Cucumber gimlet cocktails were delish. It’s such a delight to have several vegetable-centric plant based options to choose from, not just a beyond burger. We got the coconut rice and the curry. Veggies and rice were cooked to perfection. Great flavor profiles on both, the coconut rice was our favorite.

Good place to stop. Really nice staff which was so worth it! The views speak for itself. Food is average. Came for Sunday breakfast, small portions $56 for 2 people. Hubby had amazing shrimp and grits, I should of got that. It was delicious. I had chicken and waffles but didn't really like it, waffles were hard. 2 pieces of chicken strips, I left hungry. Dessert was ok, not great enough to finish. Would like to come back and try dinner though. It's a peaceful place.

Our family of 7 ate here for our special dinner out on our vacation and it didn't disappoint. The property is beautiful. We were seated with a beautiful view. The food was amazing - specifically the soft shell crab, bang bang clams, & the fried chicken! We enjoyed everything. We had a great dining experience. We will return!

Great place to have breakfast. I think the best breakfast during our vacation.
Bloody Mary was very good (they have a variety of Bloody Maries). Californian Eggs Benedict were yummy and even plain eggs with sausage was great. Definitely coming back and want to book their hotel room too.
