Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

Decided to go to Perkins this morning for a warm delicious breakfast. Only to be greeted with a server who never checked on us, sat at a table with her friends and got cold food… The manager Matthew came in on his day off and was so kind to us. Apologized for the bad service we received and paid for our meal. So a huge thank you to him for making our breakfast turn out better than how it was going.

The Sweet tea there is amazing. The food was hot and I really liked there shrimp. And our waiter was great. He never let us run out of a drink always checking on us.we didn't have to wait long on food the only thing I seen that was wrong was the floor looked damaged and looked like it needed vacuuming.

If I could give this a minus, I would. We waited more than a 1/2 hour to be seated. Then waited another 15 minutes for a waitress. We ordered the taco breakfast, 15 minutes later the waitress came back & told us we couldn't get it because they were out of green peppers so she asked if we wanted red instead. We said that was fine, she then came back out & said the manager can't substitute & we would have to order something else. We then ordered the roast beef burrito. 20 minutes later she came out & said we needed to order something else because the manager said they were out of roast beef. We left! Went to the Forest Lake Perkins. They were just as bad (see rating). NEVER will enter another Perkins. Will NEVER recommend either

I would like to start off by saying our food was very good but the service was terrible! It was not busy at all and our waitress was definitely not overwhelmed. She was waiting 3 small tables. Our drinks (pop for 2) took almost 10 minutes to get, we got Mt. Dew instead of cream soda. Food came out pretty quickly and like I said, it was great! Our waitress never came back for drink refills or to bring to-go boxes. We waited for our check for almost 20 minutes after we were done eating before I had to walk up front to ask someone else to help.

Decided to go to Perkins today. the waitress was nice. The food came out semi cold. NOT a good thing. My spouse ordered green beans with bacon and got broccoli. I ordered broccoli and green beans with bacon (mine had a decent amount of bacon with the green beans). My spouse's green beans, when they finally showed up, had about 5 pieces of bacon with the green beans and the green beans were not real warm. The rest of the food was not very warm either other than the baked potato that my spouse had. Very disappointing.. The place was not busy. The waitress had to come out and verify one of my side dishes, maybe the waitress should write down the orders instead of trying to remember them in her head. NOT a pleasant visit...

This is the third time in three months in which we waited for a half hour or more before a waitress came. Today we were given our drink by another waitress and no one else came. We left at that point. There is never anyone who is dedicated to taking money to pay for bill or seat someone. The waitress’s are running their buts off trying their best. They need people to bus the tables and not depending on the waitress to clear them. This Perkins is the only one we have issues with, we can go to Plymouth and Monticello and have great service. Do not go to the Buffalo Perkins

Oh my god. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. This place was almost completely dead so we figured it would be a quick meal. Took forever to get seated. Took forever for the waitress to come take our order. The waitress then proceeded to bring our food to the wrong table (it was us and one or two other tables) never came back with a bill or offered us togo boxes. We finally got up and got our own boxes. Went to pay and realized she charged our bill to the table that left before us so we ended up paying for their bill. And to top it all off the changing table in the bathroom was broken so had to change a 1 year old on the bathroom counter. What a disaster!
