I've been in Rucola multiple times - the atmosphere, service, and the vibes are all great. The lunch food is great for the price but feels a little flat and dry - i would highly recommend experimenting with the menu a little bit and working on really nailing the sandwiches.

A beautiful local restaurant in Brooklyn. A little too expensive to justify, however.
The ambience and service are fantastic and the food is decent, however it is significantly overpriced for the quality. All the basics are done very well, but when the simplest pasta is $27 after tax, it needs to be doing a little more and have a larger portion.
Our group of 4 would love to come back but $240 for pastas, bread, and a bottle of wine is unsustainable.

Staying at the Marriott nearby and googled Italian restaurants and found this within walking distance. What a pleasant surprise at how perfect it was for what I was looking for... Quaint, ambiance, quiet and amazing food. I had a glass of wine, the yellow beet salad, and brussel sprouts, divine. Now this will be my go-to hotel for working in New York City. Love this neighborhood! I was enjoying everything so much. 👍👍

Second visit and another incredible dining experience. Had the amazing crudo (again) and let the chef pick the appetizers (see photo). Porchetta was excellent. The service was great - they are so nice there!
Third visit had the delicious trout with an olive compote on top. This doesn’t “sound” good at all but it’s an incredible dish. The trout is farmed so theres a lot of tasty meat on the fish. Shell pasta dish was very good. Service slipped a notch as we were pressured to leave despite no one needing our seats. Very Brooklyny place.

An ABSOLUTE MUST in NY: Rigatoni alla Bolognese, Quinoa salad with the bread(only at dinner) with the best Olive oil ever. I actually HAD to meet the chef.. chef Hayden you’re amazing!!

The staff was so friendly and attentive to my friend and me. There's a wonderful little street corner outdoor seating area.

Our son lives in Brooklyn, he made reservations for us, we sat in a cozy front corner booth on a rain soaked evening, Janet our hostess was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu, our food was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere throughout the restaurant was great, a large group was in the centre of the restaurant having a great time. My wife and I loved the neighborhood atmosphere with great food and service.
