Brooklin Pub

I have ordered a few times giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. Literally every single time I’ve been disappointed. The servers are amazing however, the people in the kitchen are not sanitary and also not qualified to cook in a restaurant. Twice I’ve ordered mashed potatoes and they were sour. Meaning they used expired ingredients. I have also ordered wings and had hairs wrapped around my wings. If the owner reads this please get better cooks. If you need a new chef I am more than qualified to cook your recipes better than your employees you have. The food is a complete embarrassment. The fact that people haven’t complained more astounds me. People of Brooklin wake up and try some real food. Brooklin Pub nothing but a disappointment. Wake up.

We went on a Sunday afternoon and sat outside. There were plenty of seats since we went early. Service was attentive and friendly (Emma) and the food came pretty quickly. The beers are good on tap and a decent selection. The fish and chips were really rather authentic. The salad was a bit same old same old. The problem was that the place has very little atmosphere and the location (if you are sitting outside), is very very boring. Wasn't really quite Brooklin. Wasn't really quite a pub.

The food was great. It arrived after what was the longest wait I've ever experienced but what else would you expect when you're at the only sit down open in town on a holiday Monday? It wasn't a problem as we were in no hurry and the time seemed to pass quickly. Our server was so apologetic but it wasn't necessary. I had a good time.

Nice atmosphere, but specifically asked for a burger NOT well done and it was charred and dry. Deep fried pickles and onion rings were good. Fries were okay but needed catsup which was in short supply (waiter brought me two bottles of ketchup but both had only about one teaspoon of ketchup). Others at my table did enjoy their meals, so it was just mine that was poor.
