Cracker Barrel

Our waitress was great! Almost nothing else was. I had the country fried hockey-puck steak. It tasted like it had been frozen for a long time and then overcooked. My wife’s catfish was the same. The biscuits and fried apples were pretty good. The rest was just sad. It should have been an omen when our server asked my wife to choose a side other than broccoli “because the broccoli is not looking servable today” 😳 The only reason I’m even giving them two stars is because of our server. She was good. It’s just sad how inconsistent Cracker Barrel has become over the past few years. It used to be you could bet on it being great every time. Not anymore.

The server was very pleasant and attentive however the food did take a long time to come out. I don't believe it was her fault at all. Also, in general it seems that a lot of items at Cracker Barrel have changed and are smaller and more items are processed before hand and not so much "home cooking" anymore. I realize that this is a trend that has happened over time but it is a shame. The quality is just not there anymore. The one thing that has stayed at Cracker Barrel is that the entire work staff is always friendly.

Placed order at 10 :20 am got coffee at 10:30 at 11:00 I went to the waitress station and asked for a spooon and cream and manager. At 11:10 the manager brought us our food and told us to be glad it’s not April 1st because in threes weeks it’s no more biscuits unless you ask for them and it’s an up charge also no more free grits with breakfast. I pay more and expect Better at CB but no longer service has gone to HELL save time and money go across the street to Waffle House bettered food and service for way less.!!

Definitely not what it used to be. Food is smaller or different entirely. The menu has been reduced dramatically. Even the biscuits are different. Just borderline gross now. Were also out of the hand breaded tenders when I ordered them & substituted for a bacon cheeseburger. They didn’t put bacon on it and still gave me grilled chicken that I didn’t even want. Food was also cold.
