Waffle House

I hadn't been to Waffle House in over 20 years, and recently decided I wanted to check it out again because i heard about the Waffle House Index as a measurement of the impact of natural disasters. (Google it, super interesting.) We enjoyed our experience. Clean restaurant, great service, and good food at an affordable price. 🤌🏽 Time to check it out again if it's been awhile

So glad I spotted this location, while we were out running around Saturday! It's hard to find a decent place to eat, late at night. (That's just been our experience each time we've waited til we were heading home late, you grab a bite. Our waitress was excellent, very attractive and polite! The place was clean and the people seemed genuinely happy to be there. That's much appreciated after a long day, and you're not looking for something to merely soak up a bunch of alcohol! I was so anxious to dig in, I forgot to take a pic. But the sandwiches we had were delicious, and the smothered & covered hash browns were on point!😋

The cook took our drink order while 4 servers stood around talking to each other and ignoring everyone that came in. He was also taking food orders while, once again, the servers stood around chatting with each other. 20 minutes later we left $5 on the counter for the water and coffee the cook brought us. Good on him for being a hard worker and I wish I had got his name. The rest of the experience sucked.

Horrible service. No staff. Racist! Tables full of white patrons, a black couple came in and the black cook took their order and brought their drinks while several white ppl at tables had been waiting a very long time for the only waitress. Half the restaurant tables had dirty plates but the cook chose to only come off the line for his bro! Fast good food down the road at steak and shake. Don’t waste your time unless of course you’re a brother.
