Beadles

Coffee here is usually good enough to forgive the staff's regular late afternoon lack of enthusiasm. (I'm not feeling particularly enthusiastic.y then either.) Today I tried to get coffee at 4.50pm but they said they were closed and the machine was already off, so I have suggested updating their operating hours on Google. (Didn't affect the stars I rated.)

Racist ladies in the morning manning the counter this morning. Didn’t bother to even acknowledge me when I was standing right in front of them and no other customers around. Was all smiles with the Caucasian lady before me. I left after 2 minutes in disgust. QUT diversity training needs to be refreshed! Hey owner, the girl who was manning the counter was Caucasian. Just cause you claim you have multi cultural staff doesn't mean they are not racists or know anything about good customer service. The girl looked at me directly and then continued to pour milk in the machine as if I didn't exist so don't assume you know what I felt as I know what racism is when I see it. Check all your low ratings and do something to improve your surly, i can't-be-bothered-to-smile staff. I'm not going to email you because I don't plan to ever step foot at this place again. By the way, you've lost out on a good catering opportunity as I was thinking of having some corporate functions catered by Beadles but not any more.

The food, service and atmosphere are all top quality! I have never been here and not been pretty satisfied with what I ordered. A great place to get takeaway before/after study at the library, or to chill with mates outside of class. The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because in terms of affordability, it tends to be a little more on the dearer side. (Especially for a broke uni student!) Otherwise, it's great, and in a totally convenient location less than 50 steps from QUT Kelvin Grove library, too!
