What an amazing dining experience! A big thank you to Belinda and the team at Shucks for making our night an unforgettable one. Came here to celebrate my partner's birthday, and so glad we did! The oysters were absolutely delicious and the entire tasting menu (and matching wines) was outstanding. Service from the whole team was excellent all night - we will be back! Thank you 😊

Came here for lunch with my partner and parents. We ordered half a dozen natural oysters. Most of the oysters were a medium size, but a couple of them were very small - to the point that I would not have served them given they are $5 per oyster... The cured kingfish, banh xeo, cuttlefish, seared tuna (nice presentation but really needed a dressing - the cheese was too mild in flavour) were too small for the price and none were really standouts as far as favours go unfortunately. On the up side, the service was really friendly and they also had some interesting beers and a good selection of cocktails.

this place is currently doing a weekly changing menu - inventive, tasty and impressive, its heavy on fish and does its best to avoid hooved animals, so go next door if you are looking for a steak. Belinda is a treasure - matching wines to our courses with a passion and grace. Worth the trip in the rains from our inner city home - Shucks is showing not only Manly but all of Brisbane how it's done - easily the equal of anything on James St. Well done and thankyou, we will look forward to returning, and returning soon.

As someone with a severe peanut allergy, dining out can often be a stressful and uncomfortable experience. Not so at Shucks. When my husband and I first visited this lovely little bar in Manly, the usual anxiety I feel when trying somewhere new immediately dissipated when met with the confidence of the staff to happily assure me that not only do they not use peanuts (a rarity these days), but they would do their utmost to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Fast forward four years, and we’ve become regulars. Being greeted by Belinda or Brian at the entrance is like visiting old friends as they excitedly share with us a new wine they’re trying or enquire about what we’ve been up to lately. They know our tastes often better than we do ourselves when they recommend a new cocktail, snack or dessert. Always something we love and exquisitely presented. The food is second to none. Delicious and fresh, each seasonal menu is to die for. In winter time, the Malaysian fish curry is a culinary experience everyone must try. Come summer time, oysters and a cold seafood platter truly hit the spot. Thank you Shucks team for an amazing experience every single time.

Booked in for a Birthday lunch and as soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and provided with a overview of the food, drinks and specials. We wanted to try various items on the menu and decided on the ‘Feed Me’ menu along with the Tuna Carpaccio - was brilliant and cannot fault the taste (also the only photo me managed to take). Also, had the Early Spring cocktail and passion fruit house soda - both very refreshing. Overall, the service was exceptional and the food was faultless!

My oldest daughter, husband & I went to Shucks last night for the 1st time. Absolutely 5 star service & food. Such lovely staff who really have great memories for orders & your pets names 🐶 I can't believe as locals we haven't gotten here sooner. Will definitely be going back again soon. I really loved my Lemon Lockdown cocktail too🍸
