Cafe Thrive

Came here 3 times over the four days I was visiting. The fried "chicken" burger is so rich and filling. The whole food burger is only okay, and the side salad is good but not worth the money. The super green smoothie I got was decent, and I liked how they used a paper straw instead of plastic. The setting is sleek and prices are affordable. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place! Saw it on Happy Cow whilst in the area, reviews were good so had to give it a go. First time I’ve ever had a “chicken” burger - so I didn’t know what to expect - and I ended up loving it. Amazing seitan you would be able to convince a non-vegan it was chicken 😂 Vibe was nice and chill, and was busy - which is a testament to it being good food imo! Also portion sizes are great for price, paid about £16 for the two meals in the pictures below! 5/5 recommend!

LOVE this place, probably the best vegan cafe/place I've been too. Food is always amazing, staff are friendly. Owner is really nice too. They keep innovating with their menu as it always has new things when I go back. Also a great place to bring non vegans as the food is so good they wouldn't even notice.

On arrival the staff were pleasant and accommodating. We decided to sit upstairs where they have a second bar for ordering. There were a few other customers eating and was rather quiet which was nice. I ordered the whole food burger which is fully vegan, along with sweet potato fries. The food came out quickly and was delivered with a smile. The consistency of the burger was very sloppyjoesque but this did not detract from the flavour. I would have preferred a more solid burger, but this is probably based on me only recently becoming a vegetarian and not having experienced anything other than store bought vegan burgers. All in all the food was a good 4 out of 5 and service 5 our of 5. Try the turmeric latte as it is glorious. Deserts are amazing also. Nice place to go vegan or not.

We've been to Café Thrive in Southampton twice, and loved it. Living in Bournemouth we were over the moon when they announced they were opening a branch in our home town. We have searched for a quality, plant based restaurant for ages, and in Café Thrive we've found it. And to now have it so close to home? Amazing! Excellent food, at decent prices. No drop in quality with the opening of the new branch, and all the favourites still there. This was the Sausage Burrito (front) and the Big Thrive Bowl (back). Both absolutely brilliant. If you haven't tried this place, I urge you to do so at the earliest opportunity. You will not regret it!

Excellent cafe / restaurant. Cosy feel with friendly staff and a delicious menu. Vegan or not you have to go there and try it. I ate everything fast because it tasted so good, I'll get better pictures next time 😁 Not very disabled friendly though i.e. Wheelchair access limited, stairs upstairs are spiral.
