Given how good most of the reviews were, I was really looking forward to trying this place out. Mediterranean food is some of my favorite foods, and although Boulder already has a great Mediterranean place, I was hoping this would be another. I ordered the Chicken Kabobs with the rice pilaf and vegetables as the side. I figured I would start off with something pretty safe and easy to make to get a feel for the food. To my surprise, this was one of the worst meals I think I have ever had from a restaurant. I don't say that often because I have had some pretty bad food in the far depths of the wyoming frontier as well as side of the road huts in other countries, but this was just terrible. I didn't even finish the meal, and got some chips from the vending machine at work instead. To start, the chicken was overcooked and dry and seasoned with what I could only describe as a pre-made grocery store bought seasoning shaker that my grandmother had used at some point in her life. Rather bland and generic. The meat itself looked like it was seared on a griddle and never flipped over as it only had a browning flat mark on one side of it which just made that like unchewable texture of almost burned chicken that pulls from the meat. The rice, which was the worst part of the whole dish was literally the flavor of that cheap boil in a bag rice that I horrifically recall from my early college days. It was bland and had a stale buttery flavor to it. I only made it through a few bites and threw in the towel. The kabob vegetables which should of been on the skewer next to the chicken were just spooned over top adding practically nothing to the meal. The vegetables were actually pretty good for a sauteed vegetables mix, but the broccoli and carrot ratio is excessive. I actually counted 8 florets of broccoli, 12 slices of carrots, 1.5 mushrooms and 3 slices of onions. Granted I understand the scoop concept of bulk made mixed vegetables, but it was clearly deliberately built that way as the broccoli was all on top and not mixed throughout. I'm also not sure if the meal was supposed to come with pita for the kabobs as is kind of traditional, but I received none which I'm not really sure if that is a loss or not. The cookie which honestly was even somewhat mediocre had a nice label on the back with the nutritional facts..that were blank...which my co-workers and I got a hearty chuckle from. Overall I was pretty displeased with the food I got from my first try, but I would be willing to try it again because I just can't actually believe that the food came from here. It almost felt fake, like a child learning to cook made it at home. Moderate sized portions and bland generic flavors. Has potential and room for improvements.

The portions are very small, the flavors are really nice though, but you don't get much for your money. There are a lot of options for vegetarians as well as vegans, but it's a fast food chain that has full service prices. I'm surprised that there's no falafel option in the menu, I get the feeling it will be delicious if they were to add it ;) Came here few more times, there's no consistency with the flavors, it's hit or miss which is disappointing, just be aware of that. Update: 3/2018 They added falafel to the menu, it’s baked not fried. On one hand that’s healthier and on the other hand it doesn’t have authentic taste to it.

Very nice place, well run and very good food. We tried a sandwich, a kabob and a lentil soup, and all were really good, up to par with much more expensive places. The grilled chicken was a tad dry, but quite good. The hummus was really good. The service also was good and very nice staff. The only caveat is that I'm not an expert at all about this type of food, so can't talk about authenticity, only to taste.

Zoe's kitchen always has amazing food when I go there for myself and I also order pick up for biweekly work events. The experience is always great! It is super easy to order online and the food is always ready when I get there. It's easy to call them and change something when we need something last minute. We also used them to cater for a larger party of about 40 people. The food was hot and ready when I got there for pick up and the even helped me out to my car!

I was simply amazed at the fantastic food for such a casual dining experience. The restaurant is bright and cheery and the food was perfect. The staff was so kind and helpful and nailed it with their recommendations. I could eat here on a daily basis I think! I really appreciated the kids menu options as well. My daughter enjoyed a juicy grilled chicken breast and a bowl of fresh fruit. Just what we needed after eating sandwiches and burgers nonstop while traveling.

I love Zoe's Kitchen, especially this one! The food is so tasty and the service is incredible! On our last visit, the cashier with purple hair (I didn't catch her name) was exceptionally kind and went above and beyond the standard for customer service. She really made our day! We'll definitely be coming back!

Food tasted great, almost even delicious, but that's about the end of the positives from our experience. The presentation was sub par, obviously somewhat expected as counter serve food. They put a salad in with out steak roll up to go box and the salad was warm when we got it. The steak roll ups were about the size of a small sized tortilla filled with a sandwich style steak, and they were greasy. Tasted decent, but basically a quesadilla. My chicken kabob was smaller than expected, considering the price but paired with the rice and roasted vegetables it was honestly delicious. For a total price of $23, we felt a little skimped. This place has a ton ton ton of potential if the price was right. A $7 meal with what I ordered is reasonable, not $11.
