Pit Stop

This place, Pit Stop, has everything I experienced done right. The have designated the restaurant front curb as a drive-up pick-up spot with cones. When I went in to place a take out order, I was immediately greeted and handed a menu when I said I'd be ordering take out. When I was done going over the menu, my order was being taken by one of the servers. I don't have her name, but she asked all the right questions for the food I ordered, and I got all the sauce to last the meal to the end. No one wants to run out of sauce during a meal. The food was great! I had the Pit Burger, since they show a recognition for the burgers on their front window, and my daughter had the fish and chips - and wow, those fish pieces were fried right and HUGE pieces. They even ventilated the take out containers, no place I've been to has gone that far - we had crispy fries and fish when we got to our hotel. Just to complete the take out order process, we were asked if we'd like to wait in the car and park to the side of the building and she'd bring the food out to our car. That was a great idea, they were getting busier for dinner, and there wasn't a spot to just sit and wait for food. I liked the idea. Eat here, food is good and staff is nice.

Unfortunately I ordered the fish sandwich and a order of fries.. the fries were way too salty for me to eat, the fish sandwich was extremely greasy and it fell apart the breading just came off. I did call down there to give them a heads up, first the person that answered the phone offered to remake the sandwich but I said no because I didn't want to drive back down there. Then he put me on hold and a girl got on the phone and said that they couldn't comp me my meal. Which actually kind of made me mad because at the least they could have taken my information and offered to replace the meal with something else at a future date. She did offer the next time I wanted to place an order to put no salt on the fries or to make the fish sandwich on the crispy side. I told her no I probably won't be back. I guess things have changed so much that people are just so desperate for money they don't really care about quality anymore.

Bailey was our server and she did a wonderful job. She is young and had a great personality. And she seems to enjoy her work. My wife had a 1/4 pound burger with cheddar cheese, tomato and ketchup and I had a 1/3 pound burger with cheddar cheese and special sauce. We also shared an order fries and cheese sticks. The roll was fresh and soft. The burgers we're very flavorful. My wife was told about The Pit by someone she met in Pahrump. We are travelling full time and if we ever are back in the Boulder City area we will stop in to eat. Also, the bathrooms we're very clean. .
