Visited this place few days back on our trip to Boston. We were looking for halal places to eat & found this. The food was fresh & delicious. It was our first time trying the Uyghur cuisine & we loved it. Their service was amazing too.

I can't believe I finally found one of the rarest fines I've ever met. It is literally the Muslim Chinese tribe and I was excited and happy to support my phone. Muslims besides the food was great too. My kids ate up those dumplings!

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing! Highly recommend! My favorite dish was the beef noodle soup!

The food is great, could use a a side of sauce for the dumplings (don’t know if they forgot it or it doesn’t come with it) but it wasn’t really an issue. The portions are generous and quite filling.

Everything about this place is simple and unpretentious. The food offers fine and balanced flavors and aroma, non-greasy feel, and home-cooked aesthetics. We started with samosas, tiger salad, cucumber with garlic salad, and naan. We had the Dry Fried Noodle, Lamb kebab, Stir Fried Chicken, and Spicy Tofu. We will definitely return to try the other items on their menu.

Offers halal meats, affordable prices, a cozy environment, and a synchronized ordering system for diners at the same table. However, The food was a bit oily. I recomment cumin lamb plate.

Stir Fried chicken! Spicy so make sure you have the tolerance but delicious.
And Dry fried Noodle also so good!

It's quite a trip to return to an area where I lived for more than two decades, which I left several years before I reverted to Islam, and now to experience it as a Muslim.
I now have to make sure the places I eat are halal. That means not only that pork and alcohol don't enter the kitchen, but all the meat and poultry must be halal slaughtered.
It's an opportunity, not a limitation. Some restaurants that intrigued me for years when I lived here are now a very good idea. This Uighur-run storefront in East Cambridge is just one example. The cuisine partakes of Chinese, Central Asian, and Indian influences.
That bread is called "naan" like its Indian cousin, but it's thicker and more flavorful. A divine beef and onion stir-fry is far better than any stir-fry I've tasted in a couple of decades. Portion sizes are generous, too.

There are dining experiences, and then there are culinary journeys. Silk Road, a Uyghur restaurant I had the pleasure of visiting recently, falls unequivocally into the latter category. With its beautiful blend of flavors and excellent service, Silk Road is an undoubted gem in the local dining scene.
Firstly, the menu. I was intrigued by the assortment of dishes, particularly their stir-fried chicken, beef noodle soup, and dry stir fry noodles. Once the food arrived, each dish surpassed my expectations. The stir-fried chicken was a symphony of flavors, with every bite as tender as the last, while the beef noodle soup was a warm, savory respite - a perfect melody of hearty broth and well-cooked, tender beef. However, the standout dish for me was the dry stir fry noodles, which was a masterclass in balancing texture and taste, with each mouthful bursting with delicious, authentic Uyghur flavors.
In addition to the excellent food, Silk Road also shone in its service. The restaurant has embraced the digital age with open arms, as ordering was made convenient through a web app. I was impressed with the speed of service as well - our dishes were promptly delivered, piping hot and bursting with aromas, a testament to the efficiency of their team.
In the world of restaurants where good service and excellent food are the two critical pillars of success, Silk Road stands tall and proud. With its sumptuous fare, efficient service, and the seamless use of technology, Silk Road has carved its unique space, making it an unforgettable Uyghur dining experience. For anyone seeking a culinary journey along the ancient trade routes, Silk Road is the destination to set your compass towards.
