Popped in on way to butlins. Brilliant

Food was good…the steaks were done to everyone’s liking and the prices were reasonable. The staff were friendly and efficient, particularly the lady who was running the bar. At one point there was a noisy fight which broke out suddenly between two families next to us. The staff managed the situation impeccably and professionally and made a point of apologising to each table in person, and ensured that everybody’s night could continue.

Very friendly staff, great food - although did take a while! The mac’n’cheese was so creamy and cheesey, and pasta cooked perfectly. Looking forward to returning and trying more on menu as everything that came out of kitchen looked delicious.

I came and had a light lunch of wrap and sweet fries. Which was very nice. I would recommend only thing is sometimes you have to wait for food

I had a steak and chips meal at the Southdown. Steak cooked perfectly, it was just as I ordered, and nice and hot. Also had a beer with my meal which was good too. Staff friendly and attentive.

We made a reservation that somehow wasn’t finalised for 5 kids two adults when trying to find it the guy was quite rude to my partner, however the bar staff were really helpful and kind and had a good attitude. The food was good and the atmosphere seemed ok good place to take the kids or grab a beer

It had been a lovely day so we decided to eat out in the garden ,it's a good place to go for a value for money meal,but that said it was just a shame about the loud mouth teenagers in the garden using foul language! I felt sorry for the couple with a young family.

Myself and two mates thought we have a change of restaurant as we are a little group who lunches every Thursday. Southdown was a nice place with nice food and well priced and friendly staff. Food was excellent.

A great family friendly pub with a pool table, live sports on tv, beer garden, a good choice of food at a fare price and they do a lovely Stella too.
The kids menu is a hit for our boys with our eldest loving there curry and rainbow rice 👌
Staff can vary but most are helpful 🥂
The lunch i had today with my 2 boys was excellent , good food, good waiting times, pleasant staff and a chilled atmosphere.
