The Cornerstone

I can't believe I am having to leave this review because I honestly thought everyone had a lovely time and the staff were really nice. The food was lovely although felt there could have been more of it. The manager has decided to take to Facebook to say that our children were unruly and unsupervised which couldn't be further from the truth. None of the staff came to me or my wife to display dissatisfaction at the time other than one staff member who said to an aunt about the children's behaviour once. THIS WAS A CHILDRENS PARTY. They were made aware in advance that there would be children present and it says on the front door children welcome. The place needs to decide what it is. They serve food and walk through the function. Members of the public are free to walk through a private function at their will. Apparently there was a complaint about noise. Noise in a pub!!! Maybe you think you are a Waterstones Cafe? Although they didnt have milk for a coffee? The management admitted that perhaps they should stop these types of functions and I couldn't agree more. I never want to make a fuss about these things and honestly walked away at half past 7, which is when ALL the children left, that was a good night and for some reason they have taken to Facebook to spout nonsense.

I was at my granddaughters 1st birthday / naming day party staff have commented on facebook about noise levels of primary school children all under age of 8 and 2 babies what exactly do they think that age group should do sit and not be heard at no time did any staff member speek to the parents if it was that noisy my baby granddaughter would have been unable to nap which she did also on subject of hall they new what there were booking they were happy to take ure money for a buffet which did half the people that was paid for and did not inform my daughter she could not get in to decorate the hall before commencing party as a company you also let members of the public walkthrough the middle of a children's party and publicly moaned on face book instead of being professional and speaking to the people who help keep ure business afloat
