Panera Bread

Blacksburg location very conveniently located in University Mall. Great lunch service, great food as always. Outdoor dining under umbrellas lovely as we waited for news of excellent emergency care for our pet from VA Tech Emergency Care. 5 mins away via Duck Pond Drive. Made a bad day much better!! Thank you

VERY DECEPTIVE: We arrived at this location at 7:30 pm. I specifically asked if we would have to leave before 8 pm or they just stopped serving at 8pm. The guy (who was new) went and asked the manager and told me that they just stopped serving at 8pm but they usually took about one hour after that to clean and close, so we were good. So we ordered for dine-in. But it took them 20 minutes to give us our order. Plus everything was to-go. And we have noticed that soups and salads are in smaller servings when it's to-go. So this was the first bummer. Plus they kept giving us dirty looks although we were told by the cashier that we would have time. We left at 8:17 pm and they were still cleaning. But they ruined this family treat we wanted to share with our kids. It's not the first time we have problems at this location. I think we will stop going to Panera Bread or at least to this location. I totally understand why they globally don't have good reviews.

I love Panera Bread , since I first found it while walking for the first time in Blacksburg. Since then, I have spent tremendous amount of days for the last seven years. Ever since, I will always seek to eat in Panera Bread in many other states and cities I ever visited. Delicious, fresh , affordable, friendly staffs, easy parking.
