Cinnabar

Nice little restaurant. Menu is compact yet has a good selection of flavours. All share plates, suggest they highlight in the menu what are considered small share plates as in starters and what are larger share plates (mains). Well cooked and tasty. I would prefer to have given 4.5 star as it's not quite 5 star. So ultimately they get a 4 rating. Interesting beer selection in particular the Belgium beers. The flavours are what I would consider very high end home cooking. The duck mouse was over set, as in a little too much pectin or what ever seting agent they use. The beef cheeks could use a swig of red wine. The beetroot salad was great. The scallops very tasty. Everything but for the beef cheeks was a little under seasoned. Very solid, although a little over priced. Perhaps 15% so.

An amazing dining experience at Cinnabar Kitchen! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly and bubbly. The menu is a share plate style, which is great if you wanted to try different dishes on their menu. Bring a big appetite. While not extensive, all of the dishes I had tonight packed flavour punch in abundance: Scallops tartare, sizzling Jamaican prawns, tempura zucchini flowers, Zanzibar fish curry (barramundi), and finished off with dessert special of strawberry brandy-soaked and chewy meringue. I would definitely come back just to try other dishes, the drive would be worth it. The service alone warrants five stars from me, so this is a phenomenal standards set by any restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating in. Well done, Cinnabar team. What a gem located in the Blue Mountains! I think the locals knows it too.

An unassuming little restaurant on the Great Western Highway running through Blackheath. The food had an international flair and was an absolute flavour bomb. Service was attentive and friendly with great advice on share plate combinations. Highly recommend including as part of a Blue Mountains experience.

We have been here several times before and the food is absolutely outstanding. Every dish is elegant, yet full flavoured, with a balanced complexity of spices and herbs. The accompaniments completed each course. There is a lot of love that has gone into creating these dishes. Great for sharing, so you get to try more dishes on the menu. The ambience is warm and adult. The service exceptional. We look forward to going back.

I would highly recommend this restaurant.. We experienced one of the best dinners last night we’ve ever had.. Service was beyond wonderful and food like I’ve never experienced. Will definitely be returning.. The wine complimented the food choice perfectly. The cauliflower dish was definitely a fav! So good to have this quality of food in our own little town..

It’s not often, that one stumbles quite by chance upon a treasure hiding in plain sight such as Cinnabar. Bijou and understated, comfy and welcoming. Here, the food clearly speaks for itself. Each dish is carefully infused with exquisite deliciousness. You will want to savour every mouthful, taking you on a geographical and epicurean journey through time. An unconventional yet tempting combination of mouth watering flavours, spices and ingredients captivates the taste buds and enriches your palette. Especially when accompanied by one of Cinnabars sumptuous and comprehensive range of local and international wines. I left feeling deeply satisfied on so many levels. Cinnabar is a culinary experience not to be missed.

Amazing service! The ladies looked after us so well at Cinnabar, even splitting our cocktail into two glasses since we wanted to share. Food was fabulous. We had the duck liver pate, Ethiopian chicken, beef cheeks, potatoes and pearl barley side. The chicken was the standout! We would have liked to try dessert but we’re too full from the good sized mains/sides. Thanks for a great night Cinnabon!
