Waffle Works

Very great food. The chicken and waffles was good but not filling. But the shrimp and grits waffle was delicious and very satisfying. If you’re looking for something really good to eat with a restaurant taste but a fast food feel this place is perfect. The only reason I give it a four star is because for an extra syrup it’s a dollar and another charge for every little thing. Overall great food, great staff, and very quick.

This place is amazing! Great service, polite workers, and banging food. I ordered the chocolate waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream. It was absolutely delicious. They have a wide variety of waffles including chicken and waffles, conecuh sausage and waffles, even shrimp and waffles! Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I will definitely come back!

Saturday evening visit, there was only 1 person working and she did her best but it took almost 40 mins to get the food. The waffle was dense an soggy and bland. The Chicken tenders were cooked well but the breading needed simple salt and pepper. My daughter liked the chicken wings but it wasn't worth the wait. The okra was not crisp. The woman working did her best to keep up with the demand. Two men came in and out at different times but she had no help so the service and food suffered.

I was here at lunchtime a few months ago and had a great experience. I'm not sure what's happened since then, but it doesn't seem to be the same at all. I was there for dinner last night, and it took them over 30 minutes to give me my food. I can understand being busy, but when they finally gave me my food, it hadn't just come off the waffle irons. They pulled food out of the warming machine I had seen them put in there 15 minutes before. It tasted fine, but why put my food into the warmer instead of giving it to me fresh?

I ordered the grilled chicken and waffle, and it was divine. The chicken was super tender and the waffle was crispy and warm. The staff was very friendly and let me know how long it would take to cook, so I joined my friends and came back to pick up my food. The food was huge, and I had a lot to take home.

I visited waffle works for the first time today on a Sunday. The experience customer service rather was great, the employees are very nice and helpful however, I have had chicken and waffles and pork chops and Waffles a lot in my life and in many places all over the world and Waffle works put a interesting spin on their rendition. While the meat gives a presentation of crispy golden fried pork chops and/ or chicken it fell short due to lack of taste. For three entrees we paid a total of $45. Thier rendition of chicken and waffles could deserve some tweaking. The pork chop was Juicy but, very tough maybe they should look into serving a thinner pork chop as well as consider a different method of frying rather than the shake and bake method. or if that is what this particular organization would like to do to give a healthier fry non fry option maybe just season the batter a little bit more. I honestly would have loved to have given this business a total of five stars because I love supporting Birmingham businesses do to that is my hometown. I hope that the owner sees these comments and finds them helpful and constructive.
