Subway

Single worst customer service I've received in over 25 years at Subway. Employee overcharged my family for additional items that were not purchased, refused to refund our money and insinuated that Subway allows them to do this. Knowing that Subway would never condone this behavior, I would recommend not visiting this location. Update - the owner of this location called to discuss my concern. He was very polite and informed me that this location will not sell the mini ham & cheese sub like many other locations. He reiterated that they do not need to follow Subway practices and that they may set their own policies separate and aside from Subway. I'm pleased the owner took the time to reach out, but still an extremely disappointing situation.

Poor customer service. They do not take the customer into consideration when issues come up. They will never give you a refund for an issue with an order. Its pretty sad to see an establishment that doesn't stand by their customers. The owner did reach out and was courteous but even when it comes down to an issue with the store disregarding what the customer asked they still wont provide a refund. That is just poor customer service. P.S. Apparently they make all there sandwiches that are ordered online 25 to 30 minutes ahead of time so if you go to pick yours up don"t assume it has only been sitting there for a few minutes before you arrived. It most certainly doesn't meet the Subway "Eat Fresh" slogan. I tried to cancel mine 15 minutes prior to my pick up but they refused saying that it was already made.

I normally go to the Subway in Chesterbrook, PA, but I thought I would give this newly-opened one a try on Swedesford Road in Berwyn, PA. I visited on July 2, 2013, at approximately 1:00. Working behind the counter was a young man (sandy blonde hair in a pony tail), a woman (possibly the manager), and a young girl at the register. The young man was SO slow, but everyone needs a chance to learn a position and usually they get quicker as times goes on - HOWEVER, when he dropped the flat oven-grid used to toast sandwiches on the floor as he was attempting to put it back under the ovens, it apparently was too hot to handle, picked it up and put it in place for use again, that told me he will never have what it takes to work in the food industry. You just don't DO THAT! He dropped it, picked it up and put it back under the ovens like nothing happened, didn't bat an eye. He didn't rinse it or replace it with a fresh one, he just picked it up off a not-very-clean floor and it was then used for another customer to toast their sandwich. Unexceptable. Ugh. The girl at the register saw that I witnessed the act and attempted to quietly stop him, but he could not hear her so she just moved on with her task. Which was knocking over her customer's empty drink cup as she "tossed" his sandwich on the counter in front of him. By her attitude, she would rather have been someplace else. I tried to get the "manager's" attention to let her know what had happened, but she was too busy picking up the slack for the young man. When I attempted to say something to the cashier after receiving my change from paying, she promptly whisked herself away to a back room. Sorry, but I will not go to that Subway again.
