I’m giving this place three stars reluctantly. I dragged hubby here for a late brekky and the place was fairly busy at the time. We ordered a coffee each which was pretty good - no complaints here. I ordered the eat your greens and hubby had eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms. We waited about 45 minutes for our food and by that time the place was pretty much empty. They brought my food out because they didn’t want it to go cold but it was still another ten minutes or so before the eggs on toast came out. No complaints about the quality of the food but there is a 10% surcharge on the weekend which made it a bit pricey.

Very small cafe but has personality!! very cute cafe corner. The coffee was lovely and the breakfast wasn’t like your basic flavours, the dishes had elements of herbs and spices that made the dishes delectable. Plates are instagram worthy.

I highly recommend this place and you will not be disappointed! I ordered the Caveman's Feast and was absolutely satisfied. It honestly exceeded my expectations. Great selection of ingredients and everything tasted amazing. Staff are lovely too!<br/>Glad to know places like Five Sparrows do exist 😊

I went her to read but ended up watching two guys play chess. I thought it was real cool that they brought there own chess board to a cafe. Neither of them knew how to play and it seemed like they were making rules up as the played. It kinda made me mad but I got over it. When they left I realised the chess board wasn’t theirs and the cafe supplied it. Which explains why they didn’t know how to play. Good coffee 7/10

Nearly 7 dollars for a latte. Seriously ... I live in an area where we have some of the best coffee and food in Melbourne and have never paid over 5.50. When I questioned the cost, I was told they have a surcharge on weekends. You're in a shopping mall ffs. Coffee wasn't even well made. Milk was not textured at all with the grind burnt and bitter. I visit fam up that way once a week, and will drive that bit further just to avoid this place. Very suprised at the positive reviews

Firstly, excuse the mistake in the photo!! I posted this in a rush. The food from Five Sparrows never fails to nourish both my body and my soul and I always feel like I’m eating food that is benefitting my body. I had the almond butter toast and my friend had the benedictine and I thought the toast was absolutely gorgeous! It wasn’t sickly sweet like it could have been and I could taste nutty flavour of the butter in contrast to the sourdough. I also ordered the matcha latte, which I also really love. Usually the issue with matcha lattes for me is that they are too sweet and creamy and I get sick of them really quickly but this latte is nourishing (and vegan!) and I always finish my mug with ease! The only complaint, if it even qualifies as a complaint, is that there is not a lot of space in the cafe and it feels like there’s no personal space between yourself and the next table during peak hours. So if you are someone quite particular about personal space, I’d either suggest sitting outside or coming to Five Sparrows during quieter hours. Other than that, always a pleasure to come down here to catch up with friends!

What a little hidden gem. My partner and I went here after looking at the display homes in Clyde North. The cafe, although quite small with limited tables it is well and truely made up with the quality of their coffee and food. We ordered the Nourish Bowl & The Benedict - both delicious! Our coffees were spot on too. It’s a shame we don’t live anywhere near this cafe as I would certainly come here regularly!

Never realised this joint did meals. Walked past it 1000s of times. Was pleasently suprised at the quality of the food and presentation. They do a nice breakfast menu. With alot of vegan options, definately will be popping in more often for a feed. The juices are very refreshing too.

Well Done Five Sparrows!<br/><br/>Personally I like to have hygienic sugar put in my coffee by that I mean I dislike the "communal" sugar on the table. I don't know who has coughed in there. What child has sneezed in there or if the spoon was licked prior to scooping sugar out for stirring etc.<br/><br/>I was so happy to be able to ask for my coffee and have the barista ADD the sugar. This way I do not have to enter into using the communal sugar pots on the table. Sachets are so much more healthier when we have so many germs around.<br/><br/>Now that aside I have to say one of THE BEST coffees I have had - ......I had a standard cappuccino.<br/><br/>Medium roasted soft subtle notes. Such an awesome blend. What a classic drop of coffee. I had the default brand and it was bang on.<br/><br/>I had the chicken wraps that were tasty but the coffee...... OMG has to be the finest in Berwick. I took a sip and realised I should have taken a photo. Still took a photo as the art was still there.<br/><br/>In the words of the Terminator....."I will be back!"😎<br/><br/>Thank you for a magnificent coffee experience.

Definitely a hidden gem in Berwick at Eden rise shopping Centre.<br/>Owner/manager is super friendly and makes all the food with TLC a& not afraid to seek your criticisms.<br/>Almond chai latte was delicious.<br/>Soy tumeric latte and hot choc were both very good. <br/>Soy matcha latte needed more work to be more smooth.<br/>Famous mushrooms were great except the goats cheese was a bit too strong for my liking.<br/>Pumpkin on toast was really tasty with plenty of cooked green veggies on the base.<br/>Nutritional aka rainbow bowl was very colorful and delicious!!<br/>Almond croissant was big but ok, not crispy as I'd preferred in pastries.<br/>Took away the acai smoothies bowl which was nutritious for a light lunch.<br/>Highly recommend this place. <br/>

One of our favorite local cafes. Delightful & friendly service. Delicious food & good coffee. The cakes & donuts are to die for. My go-to is ham & cheese croissant, chia seed pudding & most recently the Mushroom Forage or Benedictine (pictured). <br/>Delicious.

Pulled into what i thought was just another local Coles when I stumbled across a small coffee shop. Always in search for any kind of coffee I was very well surprise quality and service of this modern looking cafe. On another occasion I went to have breakfast and a pastry from the front window and everything was delicious.

Absolutely love this place. They have the best cakes and pastries, i always get the lemon tart, which is to die for and the croissants. I'm so glad they expanded their menu. I had the caulflower rice and chicken dish and I'll have to admit it was pretty tasty for something so healthy. My friend really loved his baked beans as well.

Come through berwick are quite a bit and finally found a place that serves a great coffee. Went back a second time praying it wasn't a fluke and it was just as good second time round. Pastries in the window looked amazing and the ones i tried were delicious.

Didnt plan on going here. Checked around this cafe seemed to have good reviews. <br/>We werent surprised why it did :)<br/><br/> smashed Avo was really good and so was the Forage of Mushrooms too. Those are good picks for vegeterians! <br/><br/>The coofee was really good too. Highly recommes a cup of coffee.

A fantastic example of food art in an edgy suburban cafe. A wide range of cakes and sweets that are as good to look at as they are to eat, combined with a wider menu ranging from fruit toast through to a full meal. Coffee is well above average. Managing to have a cool edgy feel even though perched on the edge of a supermarket entry, this is well worth a visit.

Absolute local gem!. I googled "best cafes Berwick", and this little beauty popped up. Whilst petite in size, it makes up with excellent customer service and delicious food and drinks. <br/>A group of 5, we ordered the smashed avo on toast with eggs (with a kick of garlic in the avo/ fetta mix) X 2, smoking salmon toastie, beef baguette, almond date smoothie, choc milkshake and coffees.<br/>The coffees were devine! And they offer lactose free zymil milk.<br/>We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals/ drinks. <br/>Credit to the amazing staff there who out of nowhere, brought over a plate of 5 of the most delectable salted caramel macarons i have ever tasted (on the house mind you!).<br/>The cakes and pastries on display all tasted as good as they looked. Personally I chose the raspberry tart and gluten free orange/almond cake with almond praline to take away home with me, to share with my family and spread the news of this golden cafe none of us had ever heard of before!<br/>We were all incredibly impressed with the wonderful customer service and will be returning soon and making this our new local :)

This establishment is an absolute jewel. I found it through urbanspoon and was impressed with its 94% rating - and I can concur with previous reviewers - the food and service here is amazing. Anne-Sophie kindly helped me with a table reservation, holding a spot just for my friend and I during the lunchtime rush. The cakes we had were divine and the latte's were perfect. If you're looking for a quaint cafe close with great food and coffee with the added bonus of being close to the convenience of a supermarket and plenty of parking - THIS is the place for you :)

Love this place!. I love this cafe, their patisserie and food is amazing while the price may be more than other cafes the quality more than makes up for it and is completely worth the extra.<br/>The coffee here is amazing, I honestly cant believe all the people on here being so melodramatic over the cup issue, I was ensured its the same size as a have here glass so i have no idea why you people are complaining? Complaining over something that costs what most of you would find hidden under your couch somewhere. I came here for coffee yesterday at about 4pm and the barista made me an awesome coffee. Ive paid a lot more for a lot less in other cafes and what youguys are doing is amazing. ignore the negativity about the cup size issue theyre just finding things to call you up on.

Why pay more for less?. The new owners have changed the takeaway cup sizes, not happy. As mentioned in other posts, the small is the size of a baby chino. I will not pay more for less when I can purchase comparable coffee nearby. The new owners are polite and very friendly, however they need to address the cup/price issues.

No specials. We love the cofee and the carot cake. However the take away cup for cofee is to small ( I thought I was handed a baby chino). I am a local and have come here for years. I also noticed now with the new owners all the specials are gone and so are your customers. You are missing a lot of tradys as well they used to line up in the morning.

Beautiful staff but some questionable changes. Since taking over from the previous owners, the coffee and general hospitality have improved immensely. The cafe really fits in with the 'cafe culture' of Melbourne. However, the size of the take away coffees have gradually become smaller and the prices higher. At this point the small size is practically a double espresso. It really makes me question getting my coffee from here as it lacks value for money. <br/>Otherwise, the staff are wonderful and polite.

Amazing south east cafe. I am really pleased with Providore, the fact that there has been seemingly so much time and money spent investigating the finer art of coffee making is great. From the milk choice, the Synesso machine and the top of the range mazzer grinders down to the unrefined cane sugar that compliments the coffee. All the staff are pleasent and seemingly relaxed and presentation is very nice.

Lovely staff, great food, long waiting times. The new staff, menu and look are excellent. We do miss the fresh juices that were a feature of the previous place.<br/><br/>The meals are excellent, but not for ordering if you are in a hurry or if you expect your whole group to be served at or near the same time. After two experiences of the last meal arriving when everyone else is finished, the shine has been taken off the eating experience here. :(<br/><br/>They are still new, and hopefully this will improve. Again, the quality is excellent.

Superb coffee, smiling crew and a genuine interest.. Extremely well crafted coffee, bringing a superb specialty roast from Berwick's Zest Roasters, with the right temperatures and skilled hands. An always smiling and cheerful crew for service and always with genuine interest of the customer. Well recommended and always my go-to cafe in Berwick!

Macaron Heaven. Anne-Sophie is a patisserie artist of the highest standards. Her handmade macarons are to die for. I have never tasted such superb macarons. These delicate french delights are a treat to your palate. There is none better than Anne-Sophie's creations.
