Applebee's

Awesome service. It's a tradition on Veterans day for my daughter, grandkids and I, because she gets a free meal that is so appreciated. This year the veterans deal was for dine-in only. We went in, wore our masks the whole time, and ordered our food. We let the waitress know the limitations of my daughter's care worker job, that we couldn't stay in to dine. She was so gracious about putting our stuff in take out containers and sending us our merry way. We tipped nicely. Great place, one of our favorites always, but especially now. Everyone was well spaced and I witnessed disinfecting of vacated tables that looked very thorough.

Reservation was fir 6pm. Got seated about 5:50pm ordered appetizer took 45 min to get that. Meal came and my steak was well done which is far from medium rare. Took 20 minutes to get water. Now 7:05 and waiting for replacement steak which should be top priority which isn't. Appitzer was boneless wings where dry and gross

I was very impressed with all the COVID safety measures that were taken. Everyone seated more than 6 feet apart, everything was cleaned thoroughly between guests and everyone wore their mask correctly! I was extremely disappointed that they discontinued their frozen mudslides. I have been many times just for that yummy treat. Please bring it back!

We arrived about an hour before closing, meeting our reservation time. Firstly, the last thing I want to overhear a server telling one of his tables is about how much he hates spending time with his wife of thirty years. Oof. However, our food and service was quick (no hard feelings about missing last call for drinks, that happens) and delicious, all that was forgotten by our server, Art, was my brothers side order of mashed potatoes. Near the end of our stay we were about the last ones in the restaurant. Having worked in the service industry for years the last thing I would want is to be "those" people; the ones who stay well after closing. Especially these days. After about twenty minutes and several unsuccessful attempts at getting our servers attention, we eventually got him over to us to ask for the bill as well as two lava cakes, unprepared (we often bring them home and heat them up ourselves, it is just as tasty, we are usually stuffed, and it's less stress for the staff). We were quite rudely told that he was "the last one in the building and they closed five minutes ago so if we should just go". Alright man, no problem. We settled up, tipped, went outside. As we are getting into our car he runs outside to tell us that now he can grab us lava cakes! No thanks. I wish I could have felt comfortable tipping more, but I also wish the service was better. Listen, life sucks right now. But those of us in the service industry really need to be on our best game.
