Extreme Pizza

They make a great pizza for a good price. Pizzas come loaded with toppings, and they are large and impossible to finish in one sitting. When there is chicken as a topping, you're getting a good portion of a whole chicken, not just a couple of cubes here and there. Some of the negative comments are totally outdated, staff has turned over many times since.

I'm happy to live near Extreme Pizza, because they're definitely my favorite of the East Bay's 'chain' type pizzas. It can feel a little on the pricey side, but their pizzas are definitely a step up from other chains. The folks at the Shattuck branch are always super friendly and helpful, and get the pizza out fast. My favorite pie is the Holy Cow (4 cheese with walnuts) - so good!

I ordered a pizza on a sunday night was told it would be a 45 minute wait, which is okay but not exactly fast. After an hour I get a call telling me it would be another 15 minutes. At this point I'm starting to get a bit impatient but at least they're letting me know. After another 40 minutes of no pizza I call in asking WTF happened to my pizza. All I hear is a bunch of excuses about how they're busy, like I even care. All I want is my pizza I've been waiting on for over an hour and a half. Finally, some guy shows up 2 hours after I put in my order. I ask if I can get a discount, some coupons, anything to make up for this ridiculously late pizza. The delivery guy can't do anything, which is understandable, and he has me call his manager. Manager also can't do anything, apparently no one has any authority to do anything in this place. Best they can do is email corporate and tell them to email me a gift card. And what do you know, the gift card never shows up in my inbox. Big surprise. The pizza gets them one star because it wasn't terrible. Overall, so-so pizza and the worst pizza delivery service I have ever experienced in my life.
