Nico's Hideaway

I have been back 3 times since they opened...it's THAT good. I am making my way through the menu but recommend the mussels, ribeye steak and the scallops! Don't miss out on their signature cocktails -- they are craft without being pretentious. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Comfortable dining room. Cool outdoor deck overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge.

Service was friendly and accomodating but a little slow. Pork belly tacos and pork belly Mac and cheese were delicious and my favorites of the night!! (I had seen pork belly Mac and cheese on their website but they didn't have it on menu anymore. She talked to the kitchen and made it happen for us though! We got one pork belly with Chipotle and one pork belly without. My favorite was the one without the Chipotle but both were fabulous!!) The Chicken sliders were a little dry but good flavor. Ahi tuna appetizer was good and a decent size too! Esp for HH pricing. Fries were tasty but nothing to write home about. Atmosphere was really nice! Cozy but also more on the modern side. Would def recommend for date night or happy hour!

Very good service! We had the ribeye, pork chop, stuffed chicken and the mussels and it was all very good. Steak was cooked to the correct temp and seasoned well and each of them was unique in their own right. The mussels were very well prepared and the showmanship table side made them totally worth it! Would recommend

I've lived in the neighborhood for 20 years and generally like to give positive reviews to local businesses. There's an exception to every rule. I had avoided this place because the menu is basically just the pasta and steak you find at Sizzler, with much higher prices. But I broke down and tried it anyway. What a mistake. I ate at the sparsely occupied bar and that was so amateurish I thought someone was playing a joke. Both stars are purely for the burger that wasn't bad. But the service was comically bad. After receiving my meal it occurred to the bar tender that I should probably receive a place setting. So he brings over a napkin. I finally got up and got utensils myself, cafeteria style. I asked if one of the 3 TV screens showing the LA basketball team could be changed to show, say, the local basketball team (their name is the Warriors, for the uninitiated and bartender), which he found to be a great bother. Too many good choices in the immediate area to ever consider returning.
