Roy's

Thank you Kenny!! I was in Berkeley Springs visiting a friend for the weekend. As I was headed out of town, my car suddenly started making a very loud and incredibly terrible sound. The service center was closed because it was Sunday, but AAA put me in contact with Kenny who very kindly offered to help me with my car and/or or tow it back to my home town for me. Kenny was exceptionally kind and figured out that the terrible grinding noise was a rock stuck against my wheel. I was quite relieved it was a simple problem and easy fix. Kenny offered to wait while I drove around the block to make sure the problem was solved and that my brakes were working properly. He checked that my tires were on securely and that my wheel was ok. Additionally, when I mentioned that the only warning sign on my display was that I had to refill my washer fluid but just hadn’t gotten around to doing it yet, he offered to help me with that as well before I got back on the road. Kenny was so kind and calm - just what I needed when I was worried my car was broken down 3 hours from home!! Thank you again!! I really appreciate it!

The team at Roy's is top-notch. We were on our way back to Chicago from Annapolis, when the suspension on our Mercedes went out. Our car was undrivable, and we were stranded. It was Sunday afternoon, and no repair shops were open, but we were able to have the car towed to Roy's, in Berkley Springs. Monday morning, I met the Roy's crew as soon as they opened. They got the car in and found that an exhaust mount had failed and caused it to melt through the air lines for the suspension. Although he couldn't get the replacement parts for a proper repair, Jimmy managed to patch things back together and get us on the road. I was doubtful, but Jimmy reassured us we would be able to get home. 700 miles later, we pulled in to our garage. The whole Roy's crew was friendly, helpful, and professional.

Called Roys for a tire change because both of my right side rims were cracked. Scott showed up and did a terrific job and was very friendly and welcoming. Best hospitality I’ve experienced yet from a repair shop. He went above and beyond to get the job done. Being the fact that I had a lifted truck, it was a little bit difficult because I was stuck in a slanted area in the grass, but he definitely got the job done. He also gave lots of good car advice for other work on my truck ( performance wise ). I will be stopping by Roy’s to get some work done on my truck soon.

Always great, personal service. Helpful and efficient at diagnosing the problem / issue. Knowledgeable mechanics on staff. Helped me resolve issues as they arise. Nice little store with attached restaurant Good food at the restaurant, good snacks and bulk tobacco and supplies in the store. Lots of other goodies in the store. Gas station is awesome. Virgil and the staff are on the ball and offer full-service.

Had a flat and AAA sent a tow truck from Roy’s. The operator was great, pumped up the tire, found the screw stuck in it, and had me follow him to the shop. The guys at the shop were hanging out, tended to my tire, pulled the screw, and checked for leaks. All that and they didn’t even charge me! As tourists, you never know what to expect from people who know you’re from out of town. Can not recommend this shop enough.
