What a place. Totally justifies its name being The GREAT Indian Thali. Food delicious(4.9/5) Ambience good(4/5) Service quick(4.5/5) courteous and polite staff. They change their menu according to days. Everyday in a week has different menu. But whatever you have here is worth writing for. I really like their matar kachoris, puri, dal makhni, kaddu ki sabzi and what not. Totally in love with this restaurant. They will accord to all of your customization in the thali according to your taste and need. Its a place to definitely try. Worth spending each penny.

Staff is not friendly. After once you enter,they will not care or find your presence unless you call them and ask for the menu.If you are a zomato gold member and if expecting 1 + 1 on food, then just don't go. The waiter told that this restaurant was added to the zomato gold restaurant list by mistake and will offer 1+ 1 only on chat items. The place doesn't look clean either. Better avoid.

I happened to visit this place last Friday for lunch along with a group of friends and it so happened that we were the only ones in the restaurant. We had to repeatedly request to switch on the Ac . The food was not hot and the one of the starter was soggy. The roti's were good but the side dishes were not up to mark. All of us felt that the food had more salt, even the curd rice at the end was salty. Only the moong dal halwa tasted good, the rest of it didn't taste fresh. They then gave us a small scoop of ice cream which they did not have for second round. All in all a very very average fare for a big hefty price.

We ordered unlimited thali. Food was okay but we were served butter milk only once which the staff told is over after asking for it again. Also, zomato mentioned that ICICI cards had 15% discount but the restaurant declined for any kind of discount. The Great Indian Thali is a pure vegetarian buffet restaurant on a similar concept as Rajdhani. Similar to Rajdhani, here also you will be served everything to you on the table, But not only that is comparable but the whole food experience is analogous too. The service is quick and the place is sparkling fresh. The restaurant is elegant and ambience is great. You get a fine dining experience which you might not find in Rajdhani. Now let’s talk about the diverse aspects of the hero, the food. The food here is good, it’s delicious but at the same time is very rich in nature. In Rajdhani the food is not that greasy and you can relish it for a longer period of time but at “The Great Indian Thali” food had lots of fat in terms of butter, Ghee and Oil which might not allow you to take pleasure from it for long. All the side dishes had heavy butter and cream, dals had a quite good coating of cream, something that gives it an edge on taste over Rajdhani. The bottom line is that within 1-2 Parathas or Phulkas or Bhaturas; you will feel that you have eaten so much that now nothing can go in anymore. Taste wise no doubt; I would say that it maybe is marginally ahead of Rajdhani but at the same time you do not get all that huge range of variety in here as you get in Rajdhani. Another problem that I found was, as soon as I entered here I saw chat stalls and all of us were quite excited. Without noticing much we ordered for thali but then we came to know that the main Thali on which the restaurant’s name is based does not include chats!!! What a waste!! The menu does not make any sense at all if you are not taking their good old thali. It’s a great place for people who do not eat rich north Indian food on a regular basis like my in-laws, they just loved the food here but I and my wife were not very impressed. My Report Card for The Great Indian Thali based on my only visit, Price – 6/10 Taste – 8/10 Service – 8/10 Ambience – 8/10 Value for money – 7/10 Will I go back – Sure, Why not!

Food was good and very tasty, especially the starters. Samosa was yummy. The side dishes were very tasty. A good joint to gi, if one is really hungry. Overall, the food experience was very good. The ambience needs a big facelift urgently and on a big scale. It is very dull and doesn't give good feeling. With the quality of food being served, a better and well maintained place can help them charge a premium, taking into consideration the location of this restaurant.

Nice place for lunch if you are fond of veg North Indian cuisine. Limited dishes served in buffet but quality is quite good. From starters i loved kachori and paneer tikka. With a plethora of dishes to offer, this place is good for vegetarians. Started with the Aloo mutter Kachori, Papdi roll and Paneer Tikka, followed by the methi malai mutter, tawa subzi, corn palak, pindi chhole, Dal makhani, paneer bharta served with Tandoori roti, kulchha and bhatura in the main course. That's an enormous list of items but definitely not the end. No wonder the server discouraged me from trying the chats before the thali. The vegetable biryani served with the mixed vegetable raita was also nice. Was a little disappointed when the moong dal halwa in the dessert was replaced by corn halwa, but corn halwa too tasted good.The hot gulab jamun was just right served with a cup of vanilla incecream. Overall it was a wonderful experience

Vegetarian's Paradise. The Great Indian Thali has a daily changing menu with mouth watering chaats, starters (kabab & kachori's) & deserts (shrikhand & moong dal halwa) at a very affordable price. The place is very lively & normally occupied with large group of people (family or office gatherings). This is highly recommended place for pure vegetarians & I have never regretted my decision to go there. They have non-alcoholic drinks like jaljeera etc which was amazing.

Heard about this placebon the radio and thought of coming here because it was being compared with rajdhani and nagarjuna and to be honest a bit disappointed. The usp of the restaurant is north indian food but the taste was pretty much disappointing. The starters were good so was the dessert though the choice was very limited. Location: The location of the restaurant is perfect, just near by the Sony World signal in Kormangala on the main road itself on the third floor, therefore you don't have any problem in finding the restaurant. They have an underground parking with ample space. Ambiance: The restaurant has a decent and soothing ambiance, which can accommodate at least 40-50 people at one shot. They have chairs, benches as well as sofas. If you want to have a roadside view while eating then take the window side tables. You can plan for a corporate team lunch or small party because space is sufficient for that. Washrooms and basins are neat and clean however the water pressure was very low in the taps. Food: Welcome drink was Jaljira, which tasted as it should've been. Starters contained Paneer Tikka, which was amazing, mini kachuri, again tasty and barbecue pineapple, little spicy but tasty. In the main course chhole bhathure, daal, sarson ka saag, make ki roti, tandoori roti, kulcha and some other items were served. I found all the items quite tasty. However, Raita was not good. In the deserts, they served Halwa, Gulab Jamun and Rasgulla, which were nice. Overall, food quality is good and fresh. Service: The staff is courteous, they keep on asking if something is required and the service is prompt. Price: If you consider the location and the ambiance, I won't say that the restaurant is overpriced. They don't add service charges in the bill, therefore, you can pay the tips if you want. From Monday to Thursday unlimited thali costs 395/-, since I visited on Saturday it costed me 489/-(including taxes). Overall, I would say this is a very good place for dining, specially if you're a vegetarian. I would visit the place again.

Really not enjoyed the food when I compare with the authentic veg restaurants. In the name of starter samosha, masala potato and some veg chop! Main course was also ok ok for the price they charge. Too much of spice and not so great taste (Except may be the daal they served). Most shocking part was the dessert (My prime attraction in any buffet :)). Only rasgulla and gulab jamoon and that to taken out from the fridge. No ice cream, no prepared items like gajar/ moong halwa etc. Overall I felt its not worth the money they are charging. Better to go for a place like Rajdhani or Gramin for a authentic veg food.

I'd been here yesterday with my partner and the first thing I noticed was the slow service. When it comes to a Thali I'd prefer faster service. Kind of obvious but the guys just kept walking around looking busy. The food was good. Loved the Sarson da Saag, the Daal Makhni and the Shahi Paneer. Also loved the Onion Kachori and the Aamras. Didn't enjoy the Biryani much (no flavour) or the Bhatura (too oily.) I would recommend the roti basket though. Would I go back again? Probably.

The starters were paneer tikka, crispy baby corn, salad, papad, small kachori. Kachori was yumm. Crispy baby corn not cooked properly. Having come across some very positive reviews about this place, a few friends and I went there for a Saturday night dinner. At the entrance, we met a pleasant guy who started explaining the concept behind this restaurant. Once seated, we skipped the chats and dived straight into the starters. From the word go, it was a delightful culinary roller coaster. The "Aloo Tikkis" were heavenly. The bhaturas were melting in my mouth before I could say "oh my gawd"! The curry accompaniments were yummy without being too oily or spicy and I literally had trouble deciding which one to concentrate on :) Had a slurpilicious experience...

Had a wonderful time with family last Thursday. Food was too good and the ambiance was fantastic. Situated in one of the best locations of Bangalore, I cannot ask for more..... For all those coming to India(Bangalore) for the first time and would want to try out the best eating places in Bangalore, I would include this among my favorite list of eating places in Bangalore.... Highly highly recommended.

I wanted to try this out as one of my colleagues insisted visiting a Vegetarian restaurant. Very interesting ambiance, well laid out restaurant... The menu for the day when looked like a never-ending ordeal with food!!!!! Well, the waiter introduced himself and on came the starters, which were quite good and appetizing. Now that's the catch. Feeling hungry and some catchy, snacky starters, and the waiter was happily replenishing, kind of filled us up, only to realise that the long menu has not yet been attempted. The taste of the food considering the starters and main course and desserts is very good. Would love to visit again.

The Restaurant offers very good Vegetarian Thalis at reasonable rates. The Menu card is presented to customers so that they would have a feel of what they can expect for their Lunch/Dinner. The Interiors were just Good for a Family outing. The Food items served were extremely Tasty and every member of our Family sought second/third helpings. More importantly, the Staff were very Courteous and they deserve special mention. Keep up the Good Work!

The place has nice ambience and a courteous staff who are on their toes to serve. The platter is well laid out and has variety too. not the usual rajasthani/gujrati meal, has a variety of north Indian dishes and each one one of them tastes amazing. Truly a value for money and a memorable outing indeed.

This place was crazy. Place was packed with so many people. Took me 15 mins to get a table. Quite disappointed with that. But once they started serving i was jus hogging so much. there was no end. Just kept munching. Nice Hindi music too. it was great fun. I would definitely visit again.

This one was a good place, my family too loves the place. Very decent location and chilled out atmosphere. Eating here does not leave heavy after taste and tastes much like home food. Service is also great. Do not try this out if one is in a hurry, need to spend time to enjoy the taste.

Went there for lunch in a group of 15 people. First of all, do book a table before going there even in weekdays. Now coming to food, it started with starters. Grilled vegetables, corn, pineapple,paneer etc. All were good. Then they served a tikki type of thing of potato it was very tasty.The service was quick and they were taking feedback of dishes at the same time. Amazing service, with just awesome food! The ambience is great, and the service is swift as well.

Being a Vegetarian, I visited so many Veg Restaurants in Bangalore and I am kind of not happy with the cuisines of Rajasthani & Gujrati available in Bangalore. All these restaurants serve a best Vegetarian Thali without any doubt. I was totally happy with the dishes served and contradict to my assumption. We had a great time with good North Indian Food and the overall experience was “Awesome”. I will definitely visit again!

The great Indian Thali as the name suggests is famous mainly for the delicious Veg Thali they serve. The unlimited meal is a must try. It contains all the elements a great north Indian Meal must have right from the starters that is Kachori,Tikki to the Indian breads with a variety of sides and different kinds of rices and finally the desserts. Food variety is also good and each item was equally delicious! Overall nice place!!

Good variety of food (Strictly vegetarian) but still have a lot of thing on platter. They will serve you lots of options. The starters were really good, main course was good enough as well. Would definitely visit this place again sometime soon..

Traditional north Indian thali serving restaurant. Very extensive menu with a lot of variety. Service is pretty good and you aren't made to wait for requests. Food was quite delicious. The spread was awesome. I would advise patrons to have light breakfast before entering this joint !

Before starting the review I just wanted to clear that this is a pure veg ouylet who serves only thali and few ad hoc starter items like panipuri and chats. Setup and ambiance is very good so as seating arrangement. Like others the price is little higher in weekend s compared to Weekdayz.but food is very good and few items are yummilicious.*only thing is service is not up to the mark have to improve.

It's a great place to try thali. Their menu carries a good variety and everything tastes delicious. I remember their palak chat, mini samosas, khichdi and veg biryani. The seating and ambiance of the place fits every mood. I have been there on a date, with family and with friends and never felt out of place. Location is perfect as it's next to sony world signal and they also provide parking. If you are bored of stuff at Rajdhani and Panchwati then try this place.

Pathetic is one word to describe. Never make a mistake to go here.The food tastes good no doubt. The service is horrible. The attitude of staff is horrible. U have to remind the waiters for a glass of water. The resturant manager waived of a part of the bill as a compensative measure.

Standards have really gone down here. At first, the service is painfully slow. Then, after asking multiple times, we were told second serving of buttermilk is not provided. Then , we asked for buttermilk on a chargeable basis and even that wasn't provided. Even the desserts weren't provided and the bill was handed over before that even though it was well before closing time. When I asked to speak to the manager, we were told he isn't on duty. All in all, a poor experience.

Dine-in buffet. Excellent food and ambience!!! The service is fast so you won't spend time waiting!! The food is really amazing, so much variety it'll make your head spin. One of my favorite restaurants in Bangalore...
