Oya's Turkish Restaurant Bendigo My partner and daughter have been here twice before but this was my first time. The decor feels a little dated. The table sizes were generous. The place needs a bit more ventilation as once cooking gets underway it can be hard to breathe in there, which isn't the best. Wait staff are basically non existent as you order up at the counter and they bring it out to you but other than that transaction there is no other service/interaction provided after that. The menu has a good selection of food to choose from, although unfortunately on my visit it was a little over cooked and a little underwhelming. This was just my first time here though and it wasn't that bad that I wouldn't come back. I will always give a restaurant 3 chances before I write it off completely. That said, I will add too this review later and recommend you go and try for yourself. If the owners really care about elevating the business to a great restaurant within Bendigo they should address the concerns above and get the staff to be more engaged with customers, just checking everything is alright, do the "eat in" customers need anything. That sort of thing. It's the small differences that turn a good experience into a great one.

Well we've found our local Turkish cuisine provider. The food here was top class. The kebab was delicious, with fresh flat bread and meat spiced just right. Also had a vegetarian option (felafel kebab) which was delicious. Both servings were generous, our meals were hot and served in a timely manner. Restaurant was very clean and tidy and had a great atmosphere about it.Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located in a beautiful part of Bendigo. Highly recommended, will definitely be on our list of favourite restaurants in the area.
