Good service, having booked for an evening meal. The staff were friendly & helpful. The food was good & atmosphere was pleasant. It was popular & within an hour was fully booked. People came in and had to wait for a table. Speaks volumes for the popularity. Well done to everyone. If I lived closer, I would certainly return.

Stopped off by chance with my husband on the way home to grab something to eat. Initially they had stopped serving food as the lovely member of staff explained it had been non-stop for food orders which was understandable and no biggie. But the manageress and chef, asked us upon leaving if there was anything in particular we fancied to eat, fish & chips/burger etc? And that it would be no trouble to accommodate us which, to me, is a rarity in most places these days. The staff were all absolutely lovely, friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. The batter on the fish was actually done beautifully, nicely crispy and not too thick so it was just the right balance. The meal sizing was huge as well, but in. A fab way that leaves you happily stuffed!

We popped into the Woolpack as a pitstop on our way to Bath. The staff were so friendly and the decor/atmosphere of the pub was pleasant and welcoming. We did have an issue finding a parking spot that felt safe to leave the car in because the pub car park was full. This is likely because a large number of people were either staying or just using it as a staging point before moving on to a Wedding. The food we ordered was well prepared, well sized for the cost and very tasty. Out only grip was the Lasagna my daughter ordered, the taste of wine, in the sauce was far too strong for her. In fairness the menu did mention the inclusion of wine in the menu description, but not that the flavour was predominantly wine, with a light dash of lasagna.

We have never been here before and decided we would treat the mother in law for her birthday. We arrived and was joyfully greeted by the lovely Linda, she promptly showed us to our table and told us she would be back to take our drinks order. Linda came back shortly afterwards and took our order and said that it wouldn’t be too long for us. Food arrived quickly and it looked appetising and hot. The food was absolutely delicious. I could not fault Linda’s service throughout our visit she was friendly and attentive towards everyone. In fact the whole team was polite, courteous, and welcomed everyone who arrived. Well done to you all as you absolutely smashed it. We will be returning again. Thank you so much xxx

Great customer service from the 2 servers we had interaction with. Polite, friendly and informative on food and drink. Large plates of food (Sunday roast). Even the child's portion was very generous. Meat was tasty and good accompanying veg. Dessert was apparently also very good (looked good too). A really nice relaxed atmosphere.
