Hooked

The place is very welcoming and they have an assortment of fresh imported fish that they will prepare in a variety of ways including sushi , but we didn’t order that option. The sushi we had was beautifully presented but I’ve had much better tasting sushi. The rolls ranged in price from $19-$25, which is normal for Beaver Creek Village. The crispy calamari were more Panko breading than calamare. The spicy shrimp nachos were delicious! And the drinks were very good also.

We have always loved Hooked and bragged on it several times to friends and family, but after our last visit there, I can never recommend them again. We were 15 minutes late to our reservation, and as such, they proceeded to make the rest of our time at the restaurant absolutely miserable. Cleared plates before we had finished, acted annoyed if we asked questions about the menu, kept reminding us that another table would be here in 60 min, 40 min, 20 min….and just generally rushed us so much that I was embarrassed to have ever suggested we eat there. It was so uncomfortable!! We rushed through dinner and left in plenty of time, since they kept reminding us how they had other guests to serve. Our bill was still over $1,000 and the food was very tasty! But I’ll never go back. There is never an excuse for that.

Our favorite place to dine in Beaver Creek village along with Toscanini. They have a really nice diverse menu and all of their fish is not only fresh but they can prepare it for you a number of different ways depending on your tastes. This is a highly recommended restaurant to visit while staying in Beaver Creek.

Wait staff was pleasant and helpful, but the food was subpar and extremely expensive because the portion sizes were tiny. We tried many different items from sushi to sashimi, pasta to sides. Each was about 30-40% too small, with prices that were 25% too high. Expect to see surcharges on the bill, which we always deduct from the tip.

Outstanding experience across the board. We’ve gone back 4 times now, and always get the fish brought to the table to make our selection. We allow the chefs to prepare it any way they want, and they always knock it out of the park. Worth every penny. Service is excellent. Hostess, bartenders and staff are all professional and courteous. We love this place! Thank you! Got you on repeat, and keep sending friends and family your way. See you again! I had the most terrible experience at this establishment. I was with my wife and baby, picked up food to go. There was an error with the order, very simple and understandable, nothing I would consider a big deal at all: basically the waiter got our order wrong and the error resulted in us getting less food. When the local manager came by to discuss the issue, he was very rude, abrasive, insulted me in front of my wife and kids, and then insultingly tried to give me soup to “make it right.” He gave us a $4 discount…. on a $60 snack, and then cursed at me mumbling under his breath as he stormed away in the middle of our conversation. It was the most insulting and pathetic encounter I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs, just because of the entitled and arrogant managerial staff. Do yourself a favor, go down the street and get proper Beaver Creek hospitality and service at a different eatery. Enjoy the photos of the food, which speak for themselves.
