Ceylon Dosa

Found this place by happy accident and so thankful. The food is incredible. Complex flavours blended to perfection. The freshest ingredients. Slowly working our way through the many vegetarian options and every new dish has been a delight. The best dosas and paneer we’ve ever tasted. Also recommend gobi65 and the cassava (wow). Lovely staff. If you like soul food that makes your heart sing you need to try this food.

Lovely little place. It may not look very attractive from outside but they do serve nice food, also the gentleman (who was handling service all by himself due to unexpected staff shortage) had an infectious smile on his face and was so patient and attentive throughout. It was practically a full house on a Friday evening but the service was commendable. About the food, we ordered sada and masala soda, boneless chilli chicken, chapati, fish fry, mutton biryani, idli. very basic food, but all freshly cooked and the taste was amazing. Served hot. The menu had limited options but that's fine as Ceylon Dosa impressed us with their food.

Incredible, authentic Sri Lankan food from a wonderfully friendly and endearing bunch of people. Makeen is a class act and treated me like a brother from the moment I walked in, it felt like home... went out of his way to have a good old chat with me and even put us in touch with other Sri Lankans in York (my wife is half Sri Lankan and we have missed that community since moving there). We drove all the way from York and ordered several days food as it's worth every minute, would drive further.
