Shall I compare thee to a summers day or restaurant in this case.
This restaurant has surpassed any dining experience I have had before. There is a six course or nine course tasting menu or a smaller four course which we went for. We also chose to have the wine tasting experience with a sample of high quality wine to complement each course. We are so glad we chose to do this.
The waiting staff bring over the wine and tell you all about it. Different chefs come out and tell you where the food has been sourced and answer any questions you might have.
Each dish was an explosion of amazing tastes. I feel I have been ruined for anything less.
The Lobster was my favourite. My husbands favourite dish was the deer.
Chris Cleghorn has just won “Chef of the year 2023”. I can totally understand why.
It was a birthday treat and if you tell them beforehand they bring you out some chocolates with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate.
The quality of the food and wine reflects the price. We would definitely do it all again.

We had dinner in a large group and were in a private room. We had two tasting menu options and I chose the vegetarian menu as there were some proteins I wasn’t feeling adventurous enough to try. It was amazing what could be made out of a vegetarian menu. Delicious squash, spelt, ravioli and a delicious raspberry desert.
The service was great and we had only short waits in between courses.
Overall, a delicious and exquisite treat to have dinner here!

This is an excellent restaurant. It has a Michelin star which is well deserved. They only do a tasting menu but you can choose to have either 6 or 4 of the 9 courses so... We had the 6 course and it was delightful and there was plenty to eat - you won't be hungry. Each course was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was friendly and not at all stuffy, the food is brought to the table by the chefs so they can explain it to you in as much detail as you could wish. We had the wine flight with the meal which was great fun - each glass chosen to go well with its accompanying dish

Loved this place... we had the nine course, paired menu. From the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic and very attentive. The food was obviously amazing and the sommelier was very knowledgeable.

We came here for a milestone birthday and it did not disappoint. It started with a wonderful experience in the bar with the very knowledgeable and friendly bartender. The liquors in the bar are all very unique and different from what you usually see, in a good way! We then moved downstairs and had the six course tasting menu with wine pairings which was spectacular. The service was excellent and so was the atmosphere. I cannot recommend this experience enough: sophisticated yet friendly and relaxed, a very beautiful environment and delicious. Worth every penny!!!

I love tasting menus and a bit of experimentation. They certainly like to innovate and experiment here, I've had some completely new tasting experiences today with the 9 course menu and accompanying wine flight.
The standout dishes on the current menu is a to-die-for pea dish, like a pea mousse with caviar, it was mouthwatering. The lobster dish with a gorgeous sauce, butter and sweetcorn, is absolutely divine. Also the bread they served, I don't usually like bread, but this was out-of-this-world, seriously, I devoured it.
The resteraunt were great at giving me substitutes for things I really hate, specifically goats cheese which is strong and abundant in one dish, veal/deer and beef tartare (not for me!!!), they gave me lovely alternatives and were really nice about it.
Great, place, I will be back.

A lovely restaurant. We tried the 9-course, wine paired tasting menu. The food was unbelievable. Service excellent. The pricing was very reasonable compared to similar experiences.
Would fully recommend.

There were some very good dishes including the white asparagus and caviar as well as the Cornish lobster. The chocolate dessert was also divine. However there were some dishes like the morel stuffed with lamb and the duck were not enjoyed by us due to personal taste preferences. The duck was cooked well but overpowered by the truffle and the onion. Service was generally good but with elements of service that would have been fine in a pub but not in a Michelin 1 star restaurant.

Fantastic food at this great restaurant. Have visited many times and the michelin star level of food is so good. I chose the 6 course menu which is great value for money and was delicious. My favourite dish was the sweetbreads with celeriac. Chris and his team do a really good job. Recommend highly. Staff are always professional and attentive too. Their wine knowledge and cocktail skills are also very impressive.

Delicious food, and excellent service. It’s a fixed menu, and the courses are very small - a feast for the senses, if not the stomach. The dining room is grey, with velvet curtains - inoffensive but uninspiring. They play some pleasant music at a low volume. It was lovely for our special occasion (a 70th birthday), and they even decorated a plate with “Happy Birthday” for us.

We been told that Olive tree is the best restaurant in Bath so we had to check it out. At 7 pm when we first entered it, it was empty. But by 9 pm we could not spot even one empty table. You only get options of set menu created by Chef which we found a bit extravagant and expensive. Few dishes were quite tasty and combined in a very interesting way. Some other was really poor and not enjoyable. I had an impression that Olive Tree wanna be fancy more than they really are. We left a bit disappointed and hungry, just telling to our self that it was an interesting experience
