The Bakers

Visited here a few times for drinks and the atmosphere has always been good. Great selection of spirits available, including lots of gins/rums. There is occasionally live music on a Friday or Saturday night, or they tend to show the sport of a major tournament is on - most recently the rugby! (we won't talk about that game...) Prices are what you'd expect from most pubs, so not overly expensive/cheap. There is an additional area upstairs that you can request to book of you're having a work event or just a large group of you turning up. Have never had a problem here. If the drinks prices mean you can't spend your whole evening here, there's always the Wetherspoons next door to get a few cheap rounds in.

Went in for the first time in ages and still a great pub. Beer selection is great, always a proper pub atmosphere, and always a smile and a friendly greeting from the staff. Shame you don't seem to do food anymore as you were actually really good at that as well. But not to be put off coming here. The good folk of Basingstoke should appreciate this pub a bit more. Hope to be back soon
