We spent September and October in Basingstoke and unfortunately did not find this pub until our last two weeks there. This was our favourite by far. Staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is great. Can't wait to come back next year.
Lovely little pub, friendly staff who even took the time to bring the dog some water and treats. Great food. The mushroom pie was sensational. Nice atmosphere too. Highly recommend this place if you want a real pub and some good food.
A true proper pub. Friendly staff and customers. Great food but absolutely not a restaurant. No two visits are the same. For instance Sunday afternoon turned into an impromptu sing along when some local musicians stopped by on their way from a rehearsal. A pub where all are welcome.
What a place, felt at home as soon as I walked in the pub. Greeted with a smiley face and made to feel welcome, very prompt service and amazing food. Was great to see the loaded fries back on the menu! Will definitely come back again soon. Thanks to the team 💙❤️ …
Had the pleasure of going here for drinks and lunch yesterday as part of a bellringing competition at the church next door. The staff were lovely, the beer spot on and I enjoyed their proper club sandwich with fries. Highly recommend.
