Consistent diner fare and the only place in Basalt open before 8AM! Some great egg combos (e.g. with tamales, with enchiladas) but the heat seems calibrated for the gringos so make a special request if you want your food spicy.

Only one word to describe this place. Wholesome.
Food was criminally good. Seriously how was it so good. Not only was it delicious, but it was fast, we received our food within 5-6mins after ordering (including drinks). Get a pancake and the burrito and I promise you won't have a bad experience!

Service is very fast, but the food is just ok. Portions are big, but a bit on the pricier side for the quality of the food. It can be busy, and a bit chilly in the dining room in the winter.
Overall I'd say it's a decent spot for a quick bite or to meet up with some friends for breakfast or lunch.

Was passing though on my way home and stopped in for breakfast. So refreshing to see customer service and friendly staff. Real old cafe style which I loved. Waitress was great!

This cafe is delicious! The chilaquilles were outstanding, breakfast burrito had a light spice to the sauce & the Huevos rancheros were very flavorful also. The server was very attentive and friendly definitely will return.

The BEST. Mouth drooling Benedicts. The most incredible cinnamon swirl pancake I’ve ever eaten. Huevos Rancheros hmmmm. Home-town-hearty-one-meal-Sunday type of place. The servers have been there forever; they are efficient, kind, and make a great bloody. When you think Basalt, CO you think Two Rivers. Please don’t ever leave.

Javier, is the Chef, The Two Rivers Cafe is the best breakfast in Basalt or Aspen. People drive thirty miles to eat here. Best Omlettes, and reknown the best Mexican food. Its a Locals place, no reservations, first come, first serve. In the summer, its packed, and a waiting line, beautiful outdoor patio, with Flowers, humming birds, Basalt has more, Song birds that migrate here for years, you wont see anywhere else.
