Great food. No fish size option, so I would class it as a medium size portion. Great service. Lovely chips. And you get a sachet of tartar sauce which is nice

Tasty food good choice value friendly efficient staff. They ask what you would like in queue to save waiting time. Card or cash highly recommended wish we were local we will be back.

Had a brilliant lunch here. Some booths indoors and a couple of tables outside for seating but we were lucky to get a table at lunchtime. We arrived just before the lunchtime rush and had a short queue, but the time we left the queue was around the corner! The chef does proactively check what people in the queue need cooking so the queue does move at a fair speed. Well priced, very tasty, we all enjoyed the meal.

My family of 4 were stood outside of O'Shea's, waiting for them to open up. They were late and an employee of Boofy's told us we were queuing outside the wrong one! I thought that was cheeky, but the reviews of this chippy seemed good enough to try. Aren't we glad O'Shea's were late! Boofy's was brilliant! Honestly the best fish, chips and mushy peas since I can remember! The batter was so light, crispy and cooked to perfection! The chips were also light and crispy! Mushy peas were perfect consistency. The fish is cooked to order so be aware of a 10 minute wait. It's worth it though! Reasonably priced menu compared to where I live in the midlands made for a happy wallet! If I'm ever in Barry Island again, I hope nothing changes and you're just as good as you were today! Thank you!

The best fish and chips in the area! The fish is made to order (they ask the queue to get them going before you even order to minimise your wait) and is absolutely fantastic. Crisp batter but not overdone, the fish is fresh and delicious. And the chips, oh my god, they are great! Maybe it's something about the sea air and being literal metres from the beach, but they are some of the best chipshop chips I have had in a long time! Gravy? Curry sauce? Peas? Boofy's have got you covered. Well worth it, even if there's a queue (it moves quickly!). Would recommend!

MUST TRY Fish 🐟 🍟Chips with true cult background if you ever hear about sitcom 'Gavin and Stacy'...
The dish was STUNNING but waiting time and (especially!) Dirt everywhere not really.
Nevertheless very affordable classical and delicious British standard.

The best fish and chips I've eaten. One issue, I should have asked for the curry sauce on the side, my problem, not theirs. Staff are, despite being rushed, very friendly, and understanding to your needs. If you're on Barry Island, stop here for food.
