Had a wonderful time with the family tonight! Very friendly waitress, she had a great attitude and great service even though we know they’re short staffed. Our sons had a great time and loved the burgers, pizza , seafood and bottled flavored sodas! My youngest said he wants to work there! 😊. Thanks for the lovely night, great attitude when you must be exhausted and delicious food!

I enjoyed the duck fried burger. Great flavor. The drinks were really delicious. The tacos had huge chunks of chicken that were hard to bite apart. Quite dry. Flavor was there though.

My fiancé & I travel for work and love to stop at new places to try. As Maine natives we were excited to stop here and try this, we were hoping to try the new Blue Hill location but it was closed.
If we could rate this a zero, we would.
This was hands down one of the worst experiences we've had. We were quickly seated (which was the only good thing), 21 minutes later we were greeted by our Waitress who was very soft spoken, and she did not introduce herself. We ordered our drinks, which she never brought over. We then ordered our meal and she did not write anything down, then had to proceed to come ask us details about our order again- and my food still came out wrong.
We both ordered burgers, medium well. It took us 1 hour and 41 minutes to get our food, with no interaction from the Waitress the entire time. Once we received our food, our Waitress disappeared and we did not see her again. Our burgers were raw, completely rare. We payed the bill right when food was dropped off and we left after not being able to consume our meal.
We don't mind paying for good food and service but $40 for 2 horrible burgers & horrible service is a bit much. Absolutely will never try again nor will we recommend to anyone.

We stopped here for a cocktail & to sit on the patio in the sunshine. The server, you was great and the drinks were amazing. It's a lovely sunny afternoon and a great place to spend some QT in the sunshine.

I've been to Blaze three times now and each time it has been a delicious experience. The food is nothing short of artisan, and cooked perfectly. The rotating menu keeps things interesting and I've had different meals each time, which have been amazing each time. It's a place well worth it's price tag.

I am a native of Bangor. I no longer live here but I never fail to come to Blaze when I visit. This was the best experience! I felt like I was sitting in downtown Boston. The streets were alive with a contagious summer energy. The outside seating area was large and nearly full. I chose to sit inside. I sat in a window seat and enjoyed the eclectic view of people meandering by. I'm not too old to enjoy a handsome scenery...there was certainly some of that. (See photos) My waitress, Tyra (on left) was exceptionally sweet and very attentive. The bartender was friendly and makes a stellar drink. For those who aren't familiar, Blaze sits in a building that's more than 100 years old. There's a nuclear fallout shelter in the basement. Nextdoor is the Charles Inn. It's considered haunted by some and, was once featured in "Hotel Impossible". Al Brady was gunned down by the FBI just outside both buildings. In 1937 he and his gang came to Bangor to buy machine guns from a local sporting goods store. The FBI was tipped off. The shootout was described as "A spectacular gun battle" (See Wikipedia). If you come to Bangor, don't miss sitting in this beautifully renovated restaurant rich in history and in "spirits".

Blaze brunch was delicious; I recommend arriving hungry! Some friends who live local recommended Blaze, so we met there for Sunday brunch. Friendly staff seated us and quickly provided drinks. Our food also arrived shortly after ordering. Generous portions kept me full all day! I had the buttermilk chicken breakfast sandwich--the house-made biscuits had a subtle maple flavor and the boneless chicken was crisp and golden. Others at my table enjoyed colossal slices of french toast, biscuits and gravy, a breakfast burrito, and a Blaze skillet. All were pleased with their selections. My 'thanks' to the Blaze staff for a tasty Maine send-off as we continued our road trip!
