The food has always been pretty good but my order hasn't always been right. I know they're usually busy but I get the same stuff all the time so I don't see how they mess it up.. unless the special instructions are being overlooked..

Oh, Kimmy's off of Wabash Ave. is the spot for Black soul food 🍱 cooking meals. Grade: +A-Okay. Try it and you’ll appreciate the experience of the old Southern Dining we use to enjoy in DC off of 7th Street NW back in the days. Kimmy’s delicious variety of food reminds me of just that. Go pack a plate and have it weighed up. Enjoy.

This restaurant has been here for more years than I can remember. The food is always good and hot. It's not the safest area, still never felt unsafe. Great chicken boxes.

Mac & cheese is out of this world. Fried chicken breast is super well seasoned. Pork chops & gravie is sooo tender it melts in ur mouth. But the bar b q ribs were and never seem to be cooked long enough. They always seem to be a little tough.the sweet patatoe are made just Right. And the greens are season to perfection. Haven't tried ther cornbread or cakes.

I would have given 5 stars if the fried chicken wasn't hard. Soul food places should be on point with the fried chicken. Other than that. I really enjoyed the flavor of the cabbage and yams. I will definitely order here again but will do the baked chicken next time.

This place has a great selection but some of the food was not done. My mother had a turkey wings that's was tough and appeared to be rushed. Poked meaning boiled then dumped into gravy they were not browned at all. Other than that everything else appeared good I only had glazed wings and veggies which was really tasty. That is why they get 4 stars.
