Dome

Retail staff that forget to smile or say welcome / hello - No pleasantries from arrival to ordering to delivery at table (3 opportunities). Staff at most other Domes make the effort and greet etc. Nice place, good food. Although the all important Coffee - even with an extra 3rd and paid shot - did not taste any stronger. Disappointing - borderline hot milky - definitely not the usual Dome quality coffee.

I ordered a takeaway junior bacon, eggs & toastie for my daughter and this is what my husband picked up. I take it back to the restaurant and the first thing the lady manager says is “wasn’t this served about an hour ago?” The next thing she says is “so do you want a refund or another one” In shock I tell her what I want is an apology for being served what looks so terrible, and that’s when she finally says a very insincere ‘I’m sorry’ and follows it with a “but I asked if you wanted another one made.” I’ve eaten here a lot of times with family and our visitors. Being a business owner myself I do understand that sometimes you’ll get it wrong for your customers. However, how you make them feel about the mistake is more important. “I’m sorry this was served to you” vs “I asked if you wanted another one made”. A better manager would not let me leave upset, they would’ve said “please let’s make it again for you, we’re sorry (and only bring up a refund after they’ve tried to placate the customer, it’s only a $7.50 meal afterall)

Not really enough room to accommodate my family seating wise, had to slide over another table but still squishy. The service at the till was great but the waiter bringing the food was complete opposite. Not friendly dropped our cutlery no apology, just sighed like it was our fault, no smile, ruined the experience for us. Dirt and rubbish under the table. Food was nice though.

Not impressed. Been here many times. Each time the tables are not cleared away, have had to clear my own table. Or ask someone to wipe it down. Waited a long time for my cuppa, and other drinks. Ordered at same time for friends. And coffee was cold. Did get another one as it was undrinkable. Cake came out long time after. But yes I still go back. As it's an idea spot to catch up with friends. I hope they improve.
